Another Kennington LFS 06G flop?

First the 03G, then the 05B, now the 06G??? Does anyone know what is going on there? I can only speculate that telling parents to sit in their car for a 5 minute time out, and charging an area leading $160 per month has something to do with it. Feel really bad for the players and parents who left their respective academies to a team that is down to (2) players.

For those of us not in the know....can you elaborate on what you're talking about?

I have posted everything i know. The two forementioned teams have been dismantled, and the 06G are down to 2 players which had probably 10-12 only several months ago.

Where did you hear this? The 06g team did lose some players but my dd is friends with several of them and they still have a full team.

Directly from an exiting parent. A mass exodus of players occurred. I know of (1) to LP Tahlon, (2) recently to Solar McDaniels not to mention (2) of his top players earlier this year, (1) to FCD (Tofer), etc. Another several followed not sure where though. this is all confirmed.

Wonder if any of the 04 girls will be "buzzin'" off?

If history is an indication it is only a matter of time. They are good but when Liverpool RASE beats you 12 nil they are far separated from being elite.

Seriously, what's the point of this post?  Have much of a petty axe to grind about something?  Its U8 academy soccer, players come and go, as they should, trying to find the right place to play and the right fit for their daughter.  You obviously must have moved on, so, move on!

You really are mis informed, or maybe your "exiting parent" doesn't know.  Yes, the team lost some players, but several stayed and several new girls have joined the team.  They will be fine and playing SDL again this fall. Yes, they are playing 7v7, not 2v2 as you suggested.

Just exactly how does the number of players on this 06G soccer team affect you or the "exiting parent"?  

You must have plenty of time on your hands, I have not seen many posts this petty and where the original poster has so little to do with posted subject or team as this?

You my friend have obviously just as much time as we do.

When (3) teams fold in a ( team academy in less than a year it does make you wonder. Especially when children are involved.

Most academies will get more players from rec at this stage. Those ponds have been fished many times over. Some academies will take a check from anyone, especially $160/month.

You're correct about y'all's particular team but rumors are circulating that various LFS teams are losing players. Not good for the club.

I think the transition to Feet should happen now as opposed to "over time."  But what do I know?  I flip burgers for a living.

I see, you are looking out for all of the children.  Good work, good example, how to be petty and spread rumors.  

I don't wonder about anything, we weren't looking for a specific club or academy, just a good coach and environment for our 7 year old to play soccer.  I guess I should have asked you first, so you could look out for the children.  Funny.

Oh i left out 04B, that makes 4 teams in about 1-2 years. For an 8 team academy that is like 50%, pretty good. Check out the TX BOYS 05 FORUM, more stuff there.

FACTS are FACTS. Just ask the parents of the teams that have been mentioned. See all of the posts, and if you are connected in the soccer community just ask around. Go see the 06G team play (if more than a few players exist) and see how much chemistry and cohesion they have. He constantly borrows players due to losing them AND to also try to be competitive.

If LFS is working for you, i am truly happy for you. If you are looking for some recommendations for your 7 year old i would be more than happy to assist.

Are the teams that are leaving coached by JK, or are they coached by the other guy?

Yea, I saw similar post to this one on the boys forum. Boys teams have left.. Not sure what going on with LFS not maintaining teams... Anyone has some insights?

3 of the 4 teams were coached by JK. The "other guy" is Mike Moritz who is really a good guy.

Good insight from 4daluvoftheGM. Just more parent validation.

Or maybe some parents don't like it when they're told their little angel isn't as good as they think they are.
