We spend our time between fall and spring...

Just curious how other teams use their time between the fall and spring seasons (outside of tournaments). Do you keep a normal training/practice schedule? General curiosity here...please share.

Probably depends mostly on the age your referring to. Younger kids tend to play indoor and futsal. Older kids tend to take time off, in my experience.

The older kids are training and playing on hard surfaces year round. Throw in tournaments that have 5-6 games in a single weekend, daily training in HS soccer, ODP, etc.etc.etc.
Its no wonder the number of cumulative-stress type injuries is staggering as these kids reach college age.
Ask an orthopedic surgeon the same question and he would undoubtedly say "nothing - let your body heal".

My daughter plays ice hockey.
Would be great if more girls played - we could have a girls league in Dallas. Perhaps one day.
For now - plays with the boys!
