Soccer balls prohibited at Alamodome

Was looking up parking info for the USWNT game on Sunday and under prohibited items soccer balls are listed. Has anyone ever seen this policy? I looked up games at other venues and they aren't prohibited so it appears this is an Alamodome thing.

Anyone know a way around this policy? If the soccer ball is deflated will that make a difference?

One reason we bought front row seats behind the bench was so the DD could get additional autographs on her Where's Waldo ball. She's going to be majorly bummed if they don't even let her take it in the door.

And don't they sell soccer balls in the USA soccer kiosks they set up?

I can tell you inflated soccer balls are not allowed at FC Dallas games.
