I'm fairly new to this. There's a lot of academy leagues. Which leagues are considered the toughest? Specifically girls 06'

Its not the league, its where the stronger teams sign up.  Presently there are more of them in SDL Platinum playing 9v9.

Talk about tough, ive got a video shot of an 06 girl throwing a punch this past weekend... (insert sarcasm here) have to love seeing that from 06s , but is par for the course coming from that one.

So let's take a swipe at an entire club, huh?

I thought you were better than that...hmmm maybe not. So let me clarify...I don't believe FCD coach's teach or encourage swinging at opponents.

You probably never played, but I think you can understand soccer is physical and when BOTH teams go at it, tempers flare and yes, it's possible a 7-8 year old kid can react emotionally.

there....end of lesson

Does that mean that you two lovebirds are in agreement about SDL platinum being the most competitive league.

If you would like to see the clip i would be happy to share it with you. Looks like you know me so give me a ring. No I am not a soccer player, rugby was my my choice, bit rougher game and I never threw a punch.

the hand pulling, shirt grabbing is reacting emotionally and being physical. That is how the game is played at times.

When a child, and I have the clip that shows this, reads a player, advances at a player, steps, cocks the arm and swings at the face of a player, Not one instance was the ball played or attempted to be played, simply a straight right hook is taken, thats blatant to me or anyone that wants to see it. thats not physical gamesmanship. thats crap on the pitch. plain and simple.

So you blame the coach/club? Interesting. Guess there aren't any individuals playing out there.

It was a hard, physical match.  The pictures and video are actually rather cool to see, considering its a bunch of 7/8 year olds playing the game.

Notice I edited my comments regarding the specific team and club... I should not cast a blanket statement.

That being said.. the incident was WAY beyond how the rest of the game was played.

Highest level of competition, not tough in the literal sense.

SDL - Seriously? That league is poorly run on crappy fields with sub-par refs at exorbitant prices. SDL will be lucky to still be in existence next season.

Not saying I disagree with you, but the man asked where more of the stronger teams are at presently... now the season ends in 2 weeks... where they land after that.....

I'm taking from this that the most competitive league is always changing. I guess that's why we never know what league we are playing in until the last minute.

Which league are you in now?
The thing to consider is how competitive your team will be in a league. You don't want to get beaten badly every week but you also don't want to win in a blowout each week either.
