Nobody loves you

Did this start with a first time poster referencing a conversation that went on in perhaps august...I will tell you where the lurker meetings are if you want and you can keep your anonymity.

I personally miss Ina. I can understand both her feeling attacked at the time, and the ones who were excited about an opportunity in LH. Many of those teams are having a great year (congrats to your dds). And some may have fared well in d2...

Hopefully we get to see some in upcoming tourneys.

If someone can get me Ina's address, I'll take a plate of warm cookies to her house and see if I can talk her in to coming back out to play!

Here is the original post that seemed to annoy some.

"Much respect to the Sporting team for a great game yesterday. We had to go to the second weekend last year and didn't have what it took to get the job done. Fortunately we were able to rise up from that adversity and get over the hump this time.

I know there is another weekend of competition left before everyone is in place, but early indications suggest it will be a Plano D1 league at the top of LH D3 this upcoming year (with some Arlington sprinkled in). IMO and from my limited perspective, any of the new qualifiers would give the D2 teams a run for there money. That's not to slight the D2 teams, but to credit the quality of the new D3 teams"

"Plow through"? You made that up. For the record, his compliment to Sporting was genuine. It could be argued that Sporting had a better summer than anyone in D3, but they did not play well at QT. Look it up. As for haven't for beaten anyone in D2, check our record. Specifically, look at last December at the DT tournament. You will find you have misspoken.....again. That is the only opportunity we have had against anyone currently playing in D2, not because we are avoiding anyone, but because when you play in Plano, tournament directors most often will not match you with LH teams.

I know where InaB's team practices. It's nearby. I'll go over there and beg her to come back on here cast some sunshine into this dungeon. Maybe I'll challenge her with my rival cookie recipe.

Mid, where you come in I'm not sure. Forgive me, but I don't readily recall what you mentioned before. Maybe you are confused or should I say confusing me with someone else, but this is how things get started on here and hence why some may hesitate to post. I never stated that our team could "plow through" anybody. I suspect you won't be coming back with any evidence to the contrary.

Sorry Pale. You got in there ahead of me. Not to split hairs, but just to clarify, when you say "That is the only opportunity we have had against anyone currently playing in D2", you are obviously either meaning recently or those teams that were already in D2 last year, because a couple of the teams that were promoted to D2 for this season we have played, just not recently.

Absolutely true. In the end, none of this matters one iota. Most of our players don't have any idea that we (yes, I'm included in we) do all this yapping on here. 3 big games to finish fall league play, hoping the girls can bring it. We'll see.

I heard back from Ina and she will be back in due time. With respect to her, I won't go into details but she's had a rough few weeks. I'm sure she'd appreciate some good thoughts and prayers.  

Sorry to hear that. I'll check with my spies....errrr.....I mean friends and have some cookies and well wishes delivered.

You are correct, you did not use the term plow, it was my mistake. I confused who my agitators. My apologies, welcome to the clubhouse dad!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments and concern - I love you all. I will post more later today, but in the meantime, here is a riddle.

Sounds like a car hitting a dog

Hi Rider, good guess. It was actually the sounds at 5 a.m. on Columbus day when my dog ran back into the house. I turned around to follow him in (rain coming down) and he decided to run back out. I stepped back to avoid stepping on him and slipped and fell on both knees. Then my face decided to hit the house and on the rebound backwards, I hit my left elbow on the concrete. Unfortunately, I was on my own at the house (not counting the dog barking at me to get up out of the mud and rain). I couldn't get up on my feet and found that I couldn't scoot backwards and get up that way because I couldn't put pressure on my left arm. I then became that woman on Life Alert yelling (wait for it) "Help I've fallen and I can't get up."

Fortunately for me, I had two neighbors who finally heard me and called an ambulance. Turned that nothing was broken and no concussion. However, my knees had severe contusions as did my face and elbow.

That was just half of my woes over the past few weeks. I really appreciate my soccer family. Thank you all.

The OP was about how the 00G forum hardly had anything on it other than D2 polling. Your presence here was definitely missed.

We should have a season wrap up from you by next week, yes? We expect a full rundown of your season impressions of all competitive leagues and standings as of EOY, as well as looking forward to tournament season and perhaps the spring.  

Without that, we may all just have to watch Netflix reruns. And then try to figure out what to do when we get home from work.
