Heard Fab 5 dominated!TatonkaBurger wrote:I hate to take everyone away from the excitement of today's topics but Saturday was a big 3v3 day (VOLA and Kick It). Anyone have any results? No surprise but the websites haven't posted any scores or standings.
ATTACK will be playing in the KICK IT tourney Dec 7th! Possibly sporting new Uniforms! (I couldn't find another matching Bright yellow Nike Swoosh Tee shirt... ARGH!)

What happened in VOLA? I presume a Sting team won but team/coach affiliation would be nice to know.

I think you are taking the VOLA in the wrong manner at this point. It is a mix mash of just whoever that plays on a particular sting team. Most are just there to get touches...it isn't the race to disney like everywhere else.TatonkaBurger wrote:So ATTACK didn't play this weekend?FriscoSoccer05 wrote:Heard Fab 5 dominated!TatonkaBurger wrote:I hate to take everyone away from the excitement of today's topics but Saturday was a big 3v3 day (VOLA and Kick It). At least the groups I know just do it for small sided work. Which is funny cause I heard a few ladies saying how great there team was cause they won the last VOLA tourney....makes me smile. 3v3, cmon man...or wo-man in that case. Sting is really trying to push small sided development with the sting development soccer league (SDSL) and the VOLA. So its less of a grab the best kids you can find, and more of a lets get small sided touches from whomever is available....at least at this point.

Ah, OK. I thought it was more structured than that since there are more regular nights when Sting offers what are essentially pick up games to their players - and considering that there are teams that register for VOLA with their own goofy names. That's why I expected it to be rosters from specific Sting teams and any other outsiders who wanted the touches.tpitty wrote:I think you are taking the VOLA in the wrong manner at this point. I love 3v3s and any other small-sided action, so either way works for me.

I agree with that. I was merely saying it wasn't at the same win or die level as the some of the others....yet.skills wrote:Actually the Vola 3v3 does have structure. Just because something promotes development doesn't mean there's not a competitive component.
I like 3v3 and Vola so I have zero complaints.
