Dallas Club Recomendations
Dallas Club Recomendations
1. Sting - very expensive and the coaches don't stay with their teams long
2. Dallas Texans - money hound
3. Mustangs FC - in complete shambles. No real direction
4. FC Dallas - ?
5. Cosmos - small but good coaches.
6. HP Scots - you can only live in the Park Cities to play for them
7. Liverpool - no Dallas teams
Can you all give us any feedback on each of these clubs?

1. Find a coach not a club. develop your daughter with the help of the coach and your yard. Laundry doesn't matter as far as making your kid better.
2. Big club pricing is all similar across the board, the bigger clubs offer more...at a price.
3. If cost is an issue, ask coach for a discount, or find a small club, indy team.
Key is to find a coach you believe in. The rest will always work itself out.

with older teams. Try out some practices and see if your DD likes the girls or feels welcome. Is the drive doable 2x/wk?
Understand that those quick to bad mouth other clubs and those anxious to 'visit' with you are simply trying to fill a need on their particular team.
That's academy soccer in North Texas

I don't know that there is a Cosmos 05 team right now. FWIW, it disbanded a year or so ago.

My DD moved to the Mustangs from a large club and is currently on Bussey's 03 team. We know families on the 05 team.
Basic Facts about the club:
Carl Bussey is owner and DOC and coaches several teams.
In addition to 03s, Carl has:
96s-LHGCL D2
99s-LHGCL D1, Premiere League and State Cup Champs
00s-LHGCL D2, Currently in 1st place
Website has a list of all the current teams totaling 17 but some of the newer/younger age groups are not on there yet. For example, I know that they are building a U8 boys team.
The club continues to grow with both western/ Tarrant County teams and Mesquite/Garland teams and there are at least 9 regular coaches and 2 keeper coaches.
So far, well run, organized, and great coaching. Feel free to PM if you have specific questions

I think there is an 05 Cosmos team but it has not been announced yet. I know there is a second 04 Cosmos team that joined recently.

The Mustangs train at 1) Bluffview Park (Dallas, near Lovers and the Tollway),
2) Northway Christian Church (Dallas, NW Hwy and 75 area) & 3) Moss Park (Dallas, Greenville Ave and Walnut Hill).
Not sure about all the teams, but the 05s
are at Northway......the 00s & 03s are at Moss Park.

Re: Dallas Club Recomendations
As an aside, while my daughter is with the Mustangs, my son is with one of the "big" clubs. The Mustangs did not have a team for his age level and we found an amazing coach elsewhere. Like a previous poster, I also believe you don’t necessarily choose a club but you search out the best coaching fit. Finding a coach that cares about developing your son or daughter as a player and as a person has been the most important thing for us in recent years.
