Great job by the girls and coaches of NTX.

Re: College Soccer signings- Where do our Players rank?
I don't know that the data shown here necessarily shows anything. Since there is no realistic future career in women's soccer, the "end all" really is impacted by the school itself, where the player wants to go to school, and what career path she's chosen. One of the best pieces of advice I received when we went through the recruiting process was for my dd to make her decision based on the school itself. Choose a school that she'd want to attend even if she didn't play soccer. How it meets her needs and expectations far trumped the soccer team, since there's no guarantee how long she'd want to (or be able to) play.
So many factors play into the school selection, the school itself, the distance from home, the amount of the scholarship, the player's perceived place on the team and likelihood of getting playing time, available curriculum (i.e. nursing, criminal justice, etc.), parents alma mater and so on.
In my dd's case, she had a better offer (financially) from an east coast school, but the school she selected was closer to home and considered one of the top programs in the country in the major she had chosen. She ended up with a great offer at a D1 program where she can come home occasionally, and we can go see her.
It's not like there is some big competition among NTX soccer players to get into the top soccer programs, and try as hard as they might, our players just couldn't get there. Sure, to some players and their families that is a huge priority, but to many others, not so much.
If you're happy with the school your dd selected, then great, where other players in other areas were recruited to doesn't really matter. Most of my dd's friends and teammates ended up very happy with their college selections. What else really matters?
It just seems like so much effort goes into trying to convince us that everything sucks in NTX soccer. Is it perfect? Not by a long shot.
If even a small part of the effort that goes into complaining about the coaching, the style of play, the clubs, Lake Highlands, and North Texas Soccer, were focused on changing any of those things, the landscape would change.

Re: College Soccer signings- Where do our Players rank?
btw - you're saying our girls are turning down offers from Duke, ND, UCLA, Georgetown, North Carolina, Wake, and Stanford so they can stay close to home at Nicholls St, Belmont (ten), Kansas, S.Alabama (ala), Texas State, Mcneese, ACU, and UTEP? Really? that's funny...
I'm thinking that its easier to fool us into thinking that our girls are developing 'next level skills' than it is to fool the 'next level' coaches.

I didn't say that at all. I said there are a lot of reasons why players choose different schools, and its not all because there were no options. Where the balance lies, I don't know, and neither do you.
