I noticed...we the parents/posters are the media, nothing more nothing less when it comes to the 04 girls soccer spoken word.
Season starts and one game in we start picking mvps and champions.

"Plot"? You might want to come up with a more accurate term. I would think a better term would be "factor". I'm no Aztec apologist, as a matter of fact, we can't stand playing against them, but it is out of respect to how they compete. If my math is correct, their game against Dalglish was their 5th game of the weekend (1 on Fri, 2 Sat and 2 on Sun) the 2nd of which vs Dalglish on Sunday came on the heels of their tourney semi-final against LFS (the "#1" ron-RASE ranked team in last weeks FBR). Judging from the game times on Sun., they barely had time to catch their breath. Dalglish may be a better team, but not 6-0 better in my opinion, so the poster using that win as a basis to proclaim that they "are back" seemed kind of silly. I can appreciate the exuberance though.

So now its, Aztec didn't have time to catch their breath?? Yeah playing back to back can be a bit much but they at least had an hour rest between games and it's not like it was 100 degrees out there. I can see if it played out like last spring when TX Spirit '04 Clark, DT Scott and LFS had only 15 min between games and had to play back to back...
5 games in three days sounds normal these days.. Is DALGLISH 6 points better than Aztecs, who knows, but they just happen to be that day..

There are only "factors" in winning and "excuses" in losing....
Just a double standard I guess.

I've never heard any Lady Aztec parent "justify" a win, or make an "excuse" for a loss. I can't say the same for the other team involved. And as far as this other team, the way things are going lately, you should probably just be happy with a win. Any way you can get it.

My point was using the 6-0 win as a basis to claim that said team was "back". I would think that it would be viewed as simply handling their business under the circumstances, especially if they are supposedly the superior team. Now, with respect to your 15 min between games/back to back reference, I am not familiar with the time you are referring to, but are you saying that those teams you referenced above played a back to back on the 5th game in 3 days, having to travel all the way across town to do it, against a superior opponent (based on rankings) who had a full days rest playing only a 2nd game in 2 days, is that what you're saying? I really do need to stop though, because in making my point it really does sound like I'm making excuses for the losing team.

First, you sound like you just started this circus we call soccer.. C'Mon MAN!!
It happened and Im sure it may happen again to some other team based on "Factors".
No, I'm saying those teams I referenced played back-to-back games on 15 min rest on a "Hot" day.. Thats what I'm saying ..
Yes, and I would agree for you to stop making excuses.

Wow, is the emphasis necessary?Son_ofa_Pitch wrote:huh?? How do you know reference to being "back" wasn't about the 3-0 win over Odyssey. You "ASSummed" is was about LA.
