Rush 1 mustangs 0- I think this should be a really good game
Defeeters 1 fc premier 0 Dfeet bounce back, but premier seems to be playing much better
Lp thompson 2 FWFC 0 Thompson keeps rolling
Lp owen 1 fcd 2 I slighted FCD last week, don't know what has changed but that was a quality win last week, Owen struggling
Lp dalglish 1 andromeda 2 I have not gotten to see them play 2nd half but they seem to have a roll going.

You didn't slight FCD, our goalie came up with some "HUGE" saves that some may call lucky. One can call it what they want, there's a lot of "luck" in this game. Some of it they "create", and some they just happen to get.

8 March

Rush v. Mustangs. I have had a chance to watch Rush play, and this team looks really good, despite the loss to Andro. The Mustangs are just not scoring enough goals for me to think it can win this game 1-0. I believe Rush will win this game, possibly 2-1

9 March

DFeeters v. Premier: This is a must-win game for DFeeters. The unexpected loss to FC Dallas, really puts them against the wall. If Premier wins, I think DFeeters may very well be out of it, based on the schedule ahead. I believe Premier does win this game, 1-0.

FWFC v. LP Thompson: Thompson is playing on a different level, and will be too much for FWFC. I predict 3-0 Thompson.

LP Owen v. FC Dallas: I am not sure what to make of Owen. In fairness to that team, it started out with the two best teams in the division, but looked really bad in getting blown out in both games. FC Dallas had a huge win, so this could be close, but I think Owen will get back on track, winning 2-0.

LP Dalglish v. Andro: Great win by Andro Saturday, and this teamalso looks really good. Dalglish is just not playing at the level where Andro is, so I see a 3-1 Andro win in this game.

To early for this weekends Predictions? Empty Never too early

Post by okiedokie 04/03/14, 10:46 am

Rush 2 Mustangs 0   Mustangs will start moving down the standings if they do not score.

Defeeters 2 FC Premier 1  Premier is playing better but Feet are on the rollercoaster win one lose one.  Time to win one......but just barely.

Lp Thompson 2 FWFC 1   Fort Worth played a little better last week, but not enough to stop LFC Thompson this week

Lp Owen 1 FCD East 1   Not sure what has happened to Owen as the train is coming off the tracks.   I will go out on a limb and give FCD the tie.

Lp Dalglish 0 Andromeda 2   Andromeda is playing better than they were at the beginning of the season.   Expect a different outcome from their last matchup.

Rush-Mustangs: 1-0, Mustangs starting the slide
Feet-Premier: 2-0, Feet loss last week being overplayed, like bad moon said their keep made 10-12 stops, game could have easily been 6-1 Feet.
Thompson-FWFC: My surprise pick 1-1, don't think FWFC are anywhere near the quality of Thompson but hard to defend then kickball game sometimes
Owen-FCD: 1-1
Andro-Dalglish: 1-0

Agree that we will see some strange results due to spring break absences..I just have no idea where they will show up! So my best guess...

Rush-Mustangs: 1-0 Rush.....This will be a battle but I think Rush has the ability to keep the ball more in Mustangs end of field. They will put 1 in the net.

Feet-Premier: 2-0 D'Feeters...I think D'Feeters are a couple goals better than Premier..even though Premier seems to be better than the fall.

Thompson-FWFC: 1-0 Liverpool. FWFC battles but will have a lot of trouble scoring against LP. I think Liverpool finds a way to win again.

LP Owen-FCD East: 2-2. I think there could be lots of chances and some goals in this one. LP has lost their Defense the last few weeks and FCD is rising. Competitive game here.

Andro-LP Dalgish: 2-1 Andro. Looking back at scores LP beat Andro 4-0 in the fall. I cannot see that happening again. Andro has been hot, will it continue?

Heard the LP / FWFC game was psycho...yellow cards handed out like candy and a well-deserved red. LP wins it 2 to 1.

I don't have a dd on either team but was watching game while waiting for ours to start. It looked really ugly at the end. Not sure what happened to lead up to that but I'm sure neither team wants to face off again anytime soon.

FWFC had all the cards. Very ugly/ strange game. Their coach almost was ejected in the first ten minutes of the first half. Followed by two players getting red cards and an undetermined (several)number of players drawing yellow cards. Most of the cards issued were due to player comments to the refs as well as to LP players at the end of the game. At one point in the second half a FW parent came and sat on the LP side because she said she was embarrassed by some of the players and parents.

My dd was getting ready to play on the next field, so I went and checked out the LP Thompson and FWFC game and boy was it crazy!! LP Thompson is a great team, but in all due respect, FWFC was clearly denied a PK. Girl was dropped in the box and the ref didn't mark it and to top it off called a gave LP a goal that hit the top crossbar but never went in. I was watching the parents and boy were they livid. The card was given to their forward for arguing and kicking a girl. Ref had completely no control over this game and it clearly showed. But hey a win is a win! Hope we don't have that ref anytime soon! Hahahaha

They probably wouldn't have called it a goal if fwfc hadn't acted the way they did.

Imasoccerfreak I completely agree with you. I'm just speaking of the game, but yes some FWFC girls/ parents should have left it alone. Haha. Heard the FWFC coach tell some of his girls to be quiet because they were arguing with him. Stay classy LHGCL.

Poor officiating by the ref for sure. Line judge saw the ball cross the line and spun back out in goal in question and made the correct call.

I saw the LP/FWFC game--it honestly didn't look out of control except for the mouthiness of the FWFC players. I've seen a lot of soccer, but I was amazed at the level of disrespect from 12 yr olds. Ref had some weird/bad calls both ways but none that were game changers. I feel sorry for the team that got that ref next--his cards were quite warmed up

I got to see parts or all of all 4 games yesterday since they took place on 2 fields next two each other in back to back games. As an aside, wish they could schedule it like that every week. It is fun to see your division playing in the same place/time.

LP Thompson/FWFC....obviously a lot has been said and I agree with most of it. Bottom line the FWFC girls were out of control and their coach did almost nothing to get them away. Really poor sportsmanship. But the ref was absolutely WRONG WRONG WRONG as well. He definitely made a show of it and simply would not walk away. He stood there in the middle of the field near the FWFC bench for a good 4 minutes after the game. WHY? If you need the game card signed then goto the coach. But don't stand in the field. Very strange sight. As for the game looked pretty even to me. The winning goal was VERY close..hard to say either way if it went in or not.

D'Feeters/FC Premier...every time I looked over Feet was scoring again. Pretty tough to watch actually. I felt for the Premier girls...they seemed to dis-engage from the game. Can hardly blame them. It looked like they were on a bit of an uptick at least in terms of keeping games close, but this is a step back. But hats of to Feet, nice bounceback after last week. They do seem to pass the ball a lot better than even a couple months ago.

Andromeda/LP Dalglish...Seemed to me to be a pretty even game in terms of attacks and possession. But Andro had a couple sweet finishes and seemed to be in control once they got the lead. Andro can certainly score these days.

LP Owen/FCD East...Owen looked like a completely different team from the past couple of weeks. A bit of Jekyl/Hyde going on with this group? I literally never saw FCD mount an attack in the parts that I watched.

Seems to be some pretty clear tiers forming in the league..

Top: LP Thomp, Andro, Rush, Mustangs
Middle: Feet, Owen, FWFC, LP Dalglish
Bottom: FC Premier, FCD East

I have my doubts if anyone can catch LP Thompson. But They do still have top play the other top 3 teams so it will be very interesting. Andro is playing the best right now but are still 4 pts back. The middle is going to be a real battle. If you assume the top 4 stay that way that means that the middle 4 teams are fighting for 1 spot to not have to re-qualify..wow.
