The team Stark brings over will be the pool of players the Texans will use to build their ECNL team. Stark won't be coaching that team in ECNL.

Every girl in NTX who can kick a round object will be part of the pool to build the Texan ecnl team. The girls who are the best at it will be the ones who make it.

I agree with you go99.  There is this common misconception that any coach can bring a team to an ECNL club and be the ECNL coach for that team.  The only way this will ever happen is if the club is desperate for a team in that age group.  In this case the Texans need a DI team but have plenty of time to get the team adjusted to the club philosophy before they turn ECNL.

By then maybe Bubb comes back and leads them all again!!

Unless they plan on having Stark coach multiple ECNL teams or to be an assistant on those teams, they will not let him take the team ECNL. You can argue this point, however the Texans will never bring in a coach to coach "one" ECNL team. They have an ECNL staff and those coaches are responsible for the ECNL teams. If he was hired to be on the ECNL staff then that would be different. You don't usually see a coach of a U11 team, and a couple of academy teams promoted to that position but if he was congratulations.

The best thing for that team at ECNL would be for Stark to step away. People now do not come to his team because a hand ful of parents run the show. He's too personally involved to make good decisions for the team for fear of upset 2-3 parent groups. Some out of loyalty be us they've been there so long and some bc he coaches younger siblings on his sons team. Message for coaches -YOU CAN NOT BE PERSONAL FRIENDS WITH YOUR PARENTS , PLAYERS AND MAKE THE BEST DECISIONS FOR YOU TEAM. your emotions get in the way. This is why big name players won't go to Rush.

and if Stark thinks he will keep all his players...... as he said "no more ECNL worries" well he may have worries that HN will take his players for the ECNL team if they are good enough for sure!

Wow, such insight to this team you have? We did not realize just how many BIG NAME players there are at 11 years old. IF we could only be so lucky to obtain some of these really BIG NAME 11 and 12 year old players..it just might put us ahead of Sting and Solar Red and maybe just maybe Premier!! Those parents you are talking about probably sabotaged Rush to force Johnny to Texans. They sound like professionals. Please help!

So why is Stark moving again???? He was LP last year.

Stark cannot stand flower fundraisers, hence the move.

I am not posting to defend Stark prior moves or defend his decision to come to Rush. But I know he is absolutely doing the right thing for his family and his teams with the current move to Texans. I am not here to bash on Rush, but it was a clear decision in most (if not all) the parents eyes (and I am talking all of his team not just the 02 Dynamo team). I don’t know for a fact nor do I care if Johnny is taking the 02 team ECNL. I also cannot speak to any Dynamo 02 parents running the show, but I find that highly doubtful knowing Johnny. Is Johnny maybe too loyal to some of the players he has developed for all these years- possibly. But are we seriously going to bash a guy for being loyal to his families and players. I think there is probably roster changes to make I am sure, but I love that the coach is slow to cut players and rather looks at how he can better develop players. Obviously at some point you have to make changes and with the culture at the Texans with the importance placed winning I am sure that will change. But I admire Johnny for his loyalty to his families and players. Why do you think his players/families are so loyal to him? Is Johnny perfect- No. Forget the color of the uniform and the changing of those colors- coaches like Johnny are what is right with NTX soccer not what is wrong with it.

At the end of the day that is all noise. Johnny teaches and has the girls playing the game the right way. And for me just as importantly the girls LOVE him and so do the vast majority of the parents. I have yet to see a girl come to one of Johnny’s practices and not enjoy being there. He is not the coach for everyone, but he is a gifted coach none the less. There may be a time when my dd will have to make soccer career decisions that lead her away from Johnny and same for him and that is part of the process….but I can tell you whenever that day comes there will be a lot of tears shed.

I don't know him or his players....although I have heard he is an excellent coach.  Also heard he is a great recruiter which benefits clubs for sure

He was Solar for a very long time...then Rush for a short time. Don't remember him being LP ;-).

My dd has never been on his roster, he has coached her a few times through various scenarios. We've kept a friendship with him and he has supported our family wherever we have gone. My dd adores him.

Johnny cares about his girls and his families...end of story.

A man this great! A coach that cares this much! From this point forward shall only be known as -

"Johnny Soccer"
