Perfect example of why UIL prohibits public HS coaches from coaching students within their attendance zones in non-HS leagues.

This may be against the grain... but there is a legit case here.  Most non trial lawyer parents just move on... but a PO'd dad/attorney does it for free.

In Soccer, if one team doesn't work, there are maybe 90 other teams in your age group to go to(at the 04 level).  Plenty of competition for quality players, one team isn't for you, you move on to the next.  LAX is not that way.  LAX is now setting up zones where you have to play for certain organizations(like rec soccer at the U4/5/6 level but we are talking middle school, high school age now).  You can move once to another zone, but it is permanent, once you leave your zone and choose a team, you are stuck there.  This leads to coaches kids, social group kids getting extreme preference, they steer you to the 'right' select team, which camps to attend etc.  If you don't toe their line(and pay for it)... your kid doesn't play.(been there done that) Lax coaches talk about 'soccer parents' all the time, but I've seen the dark side of Lax coaches.  I for one, hope the 'zones' you are required to play in get ruled illegal. Its anti competitive and leads to the problems defined in the suit.
