Someone told me only one team from D3 advances. Is that right?!?!?

That is my understanding, as well. Only one team will advance.

Yes, one advances, two drop down from D2 and 5 have to requalify

Depends on the age group. The scores above are for 03's. Are you asking about relegation and advancement for 03's?

These scores are for the 02's, think for 03's it's 2 up, 2 down and 4 requalify

So only 9 teams in D1 next year....

What is the reason for eliminating 1 spot in D1?

I believe the reasoning from LH is, it keeps the quality of play higher. U15 D1 goes to 8 teams. Keep in mind that between the U13 and U14 years, Solar, Sting, Texans, FC Dallas and Defeeters form ECNL teams. For the 00's this year, each of those clubs pulled their top team from LH D1 creating 5 open spots, so 5 teams promoted from D2 to D1 and 5 from D3 to D2 and zero teams were relegated from D3. It may or may not be the same for the 02 group when you get there.

So two move up from D3? And no one here but we are all talking about 02 here. . . confused by Pale Rider's earlier comment. Sideline fan- you are talking 02 girls, not 03 right?

This is how Lhgcl will fill spots left by teams leaving for ECNL
From Lhgcl website-

If a club registers a team for a non-North Texas league, without that team also playing in a regularly scheduled
Division of Lake Highlands Girls Classic League, they will lose the bye most closely associated with the group of girls leaving the league. For example, if the majority of the girls are leaving from Division I, a Division I Bye will be forfeited by that club in each applicable age group. The Lake Highlands Girls Classic League will make available participation in a separate division with an abbreviated schedule and reduced league fee if a sufficient number of teams agrees to participate with sufficient notice for the coordination and scheduling of that division. The final decision as to whether or not a separate division would be viable will rest with the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League Board of Directors.
Open spots that are created by the above outlined situation, will be filled as follows:
Any Division II team that was being promoted will still be promoted.
Division I teams that would have normally been relegated will be kept in division I in order of their full year standings from the prior year, as needed to fill the Division I spots.
If more teams are needed, the teams that earned Division II byes will be promoted based on their full year standings from the prior year, as needed to fill the Division I spots.
Division II spots will be filled in the same order.
In Division III, additional byes will be granted to returning Lake Highlands teams, upto the number of byes forfeited, with remaining spots being filled in the Qualifying Tournament.

Actually this is for U13, the 02s are U12 this year.

The ins and outs are the similar as this is posted for U13, but as previously mentioned U13 start with 9 in DI. Which is why the numbers according to LH website are a little different for U12.  So if it stays the same this year for U12, there will be 5 DIII teams relegated, but only 4 open spots.

The math works out to 5 teams from DIII because we are losing one of the DI teams when it goes from 10 this year to 9 next year, yet there are still 2 teams relegated from both DI and DII. So that "extra team" becomes related from DIII. But there are still only 4 open spots. Unless of course there is any craziness with teams not keeping their Byes.
