00 D1 predictions...

From what I have seen while our girls warm up before matches and on fields adjacent to us, it looks like D1 (after the 1st and 2nd placed teams) is pretty tight. I have watched teams play tight regardless of table positioning. The unbalanced schedule means that some teams have 11 or 12 games, while others have up to 14.

My question is this: who are the 00 D1 teams likely to relegate? Right now, it sits Aztecs and Sting West R, but a game or two can swing this pretty easily and several of those teams play each other. Anyone want to have a go? I haven't watched enough to actually make an educated guess, but would anyone enlighten us?

I would add Sting North to that mix as well. They only have two games against the #1 and #4 team. Also with the Aztecs and Sting West playing each other and relegation at stake I'm sure the movtivation will be there.

Having said that I believe it will be the Aztecs and West moving down.

Now the next question...will relegation blow up the relegated teams? Anybody have experience with this?

None of the teams in the bottom 5 are safe. All of them need quality wins to stay in D1.

That is what I am seeing too, and they have to beat each other and figure out a way to pull points against brown or solar perhaps...a ton of pressure on those games.
As far as what I have seen, some implode or lose their best players which then delays the implosion. Others bunker together and stick.
