When tournament officials let kids man the sidelines, they should at least make sure that they have a basic grasp of what offsides is and is not.

Its all about the BIG the club names sheets it's allways going to be like that like it or not! Sorry buddy may be next time

Congrats to Odyssey.

St John had quite the tournament this weekend it sounds like.

They are a better team than the ranking would lead you to believe. At least they were in this tournament.

The word it's that they have one and only one good solid plyr that's the word with all do respect to the St. John team!  

Well at least it was enough to get them past other teams and in the finals

Yes thanks to the inexperienced young Ref that called bad calls. Anybody can get to the finals like that.

Yeah I heard the refs were horrible
I would think you would have to be at least 18 but that is probably not right
Some don't look like they are even in high school

Officiating was not that bad. It is usually magnified in your eyes when results don't go your ways. Anyways, I've seen worse in Classic league.
Tour came down to Mustangs, Liverpool and Odyssey. Liverpool had only one player, but a very dangerous player indeed. Mustangs well balanced but rely too much on long ball. Odyssey, even with missing 3 starters, had flashes of brilliance, but still has some work to do up front.
Good warm up tour for those 3 teams. Weather was great!

I watched multiple games in that tournament (including that one) and think almost anyone would agree with that statement - from both sides! However, unlike some of the sour-grapes commentators, I don't think Liverpool has only one good player (while she IS very good). If I recall, the goalie had some seriously stellar saves, and more than one player did score a goal. My point is that both teams were good - maybe Liverpool would have lost 4 out of 5 match-ups against the Mustangs, but that's what tournaments are all about - put it on the field that one game and see what happens. Afterall, the Mustangs tied Odyssey and Liverpool only lost by 1 point to Odyssey, so it looks like they just brought it to the table this time from what I saw and what I've heard. End of the day, there are always going to be bad calls, and one day they're against you...the other day, they're for you. We all just need to remember that insulting 10-yr old girls (by saying they're "no good" b/c they're not that "one good player") just nullifies your argument and makes you sound like a bully and sore loser... (P.S. This was not a statement directed at one, but a general thought.) Stay above the fray people...   )

I am not going to disagree with you at all. LP St John is a very good team probably better than what they are ranked and have several talented players. No question about it they came to play and caught the Mustangs with their pants down. Mustangs thought they would roll in there and walk all over everybody and that wasn't the case. Wake up call for the Mustangs. I still think the calls went in their favor that day, but no sour grapes it will swing back ours.
