What to do in the meanwhile

So lets say there is this month of may where you don't practice with your contracted team/coach because of whatever reason. You dont have a release(still unsure about those as they seem to pour salt on a wound) so you cant go practice with such and such teams, What do you do?get a personal trainer?Pay for a skills coach?I would think one full month of nothing would cause more harm then good...Any good suggestions are appreciated..

I might get shouted off the board for saying this, but I think one month off would do far more good than harm.

Give her a break.  Tell her to go be a kid for a month.  If she absolutely needs soccer, tell her to go in the backyard and just have fun messing around with her ball, working on perfecting that "killer" move or trying to beat her personal best in juggling.  Or maybe go to a local park and kick the ball around with her yourself.

...and if she wants nothing to do with soccer during that month, that's perfectly fine as well. Let her recharge her batteries and her body.

I am almost with bwg on this one. Just let her take a break and "play" soccer. American kids train and work at soccer too much and don't play (consequence free) it enough. Find some friends to do 3v3 or futsal, pickup and play not to win but to have fun at playing. Spend that month just having fun with the game. Kicking in the yard, house, etc but if she sits for a month and doesn't touch her ball then you really don't have a player anyway.

Which is exactly why I say leave it up to her...  You'll learn a lot more about her passion and drive for the game vs. your own passion and drive for her game, if you take your foot off the gas for a month...

If after a few days off, she's taking it upon herself to grab her ball and go mess around in the backyard, or pestering you constantly to go kick it around with her, or keeps asking you about when she'll get to go practice with a new team, you'll know where she stands...

If she spends the whole month sitting on the couch watching TV, or goes and grabs a basketball and starts shooting baskets instead of practicing her juggling, or doesn't even ask you when she's going to get a chance to go practice or try out with another soccer team, you'll know where she stands...

but hey is she finds herself bored with nothing to do with her new free time the mom can come take my annoying kids to practices, games, kick around outside. I am falling behind on my DVR

Futsal

Well depending on the age of your player, you may consider doing a couple of College ID camps. That's what we will be doing.

Although, if dd wants to try something else or just do nothing, go with it.
