They have primarily been a boys only club, but have tried to establish a girls side for as long as I can remember. I was told by club 2-04 rush teams just went there. Plus they have Hernandez 03 team, had an 05 and 06 team. So maybe they are starting through academy. Good for them, hopefully they can grow them

I don't listen to Triumph, due to the fact that he is an incessant City fan and I have to hear about it ALL the time!
I guess he deserves his day in the sun, because it happens SO infrequently.
Parents, please let him have his "moment".

Note: My dd does not play for them but still attends skill sessions here and there and has guested from time to time when they need players. They are great people with very good facilities.

boilerjoe_96 wrote:Ayses has a different approach that has seemed to work well on the boys side. Imagine the horror...but they aren't concerned with winning at academy ages. They try to focus on skill work and might I add are very good at it(in this parents eyes). They do this for the entire organization, it's not coach by coach like most clubs. Coaches naturally vary, but Jerry Medina was great for my dd. She is a very technical player and it started with him. Downside is location(about 2 miles from me so not an issue). For some reason parents will drive 30 minutes on 121/75/35 or through Plano, but put country roads, trees and fields and suddenly its too far to drive.... fickle parents if you ask me. Thus they have a hard time getting enough athletes to make girls teams.

Not sure they are looking for 06 Girls as I emailed Coach Medina 3 days ago that I was interested in their academy program for my DD and have not heard back form him. I may try again. He perhaps hasn't checked email lately.

Our girls program has had it’s challenges, but we are working hard to change the perception that Ayses is a boys only club. We have great coaches and it’s a great family environment for everyone.

Is there substance to the rumor that Ayses is acquiring some established LHGC league teams? If so, what age group(s) will these team(s) represent?
