Eeerie Silence

Silence must be golden. With all of the tournament action getting in gear it sure is awfully quiet up in here. Can't be due to summer vacation because school hasn't let out yet. Where are all of the usual suspects? Could it reflect the concern with all of the supposed player movement out there caused in part by teams splitting, merging and new teams forming which are luring away players from the old guard? Not to mention parents shopping their kids to supposedly better teams. Folks getting nervous?

I heard tell that one prominent new team has already got solid commitments from players from RASE, Dalglish, LFS, Scott and a possible Stinger our two and that's just movement to a newly formed team, what about movement from one established team to another? What will the effect of that be? Probably not much on RASE, but what about the others?

Stability - club, team and probably most importantly - coach, is a valuable commodity right about now.

Maybe Johnny Soccer don't have the right size balls to play in Gold. I just don't get it, wait ... maybe I do. Start from the bottom and work your way to the top. It's pathetic they are playing in such a weak Division and Pool.. What possibly can you get beating teams ranked 70th and below??

Suppose they have to beat those teams before you can say if it matters or not. Might take their place right about 71+??

From what I hear they have better players than that. Don't see why they don't play gold. Should be able to compete is say.  Apparently the coach thinks otherwise. Might be a cause for concern!

Wow. Really, that's a lot of hostility towards a team playing in the silver bracket. Maybe they don't feel they are good enough. I dont think they've ever claimed to be a top team.

They should be?? From what I've heard, all those RECRUITED players should bring them to the top. Why start so low? Maybe it's a confident thing.

What if some of those better imports don't want to play just yet and tip their hand? Maybe some have been practicing on the down low with their current/former club not yet aware of their intentions. Just a thought. Maybe without those players they are not ready for Gold level. That would then beg the question are they truly committed to the new situation?

I would guess that this is the reason. They don't have much time under their belts together so play in silver to build chemistry.

Do Texans kits have belts?
