04 Scores 05/16-18 Weekend

Not sure how these were played .. But why play boys when the out come are so one sided? Sting Chacon will have a rough one tomorrow as well. Wont be pretty. Just my thoughts

LFS Black (0) vs. FC Dallas Che' (5)

Lots of tournaments this weekend and a lot of results coming in. Some of the scores are quite surprising, the two mentioned are among them.

Surprising scores especially as all outside of LP thought the gap was closing on RASE

Hahaha... always the "GAP" - it isn't just a store anymore I guess... LOL I honestly think you're the only one that cares about the "GAP"... In a few years, no one will care about the "GAP" and we'll all go back to shopping there again...

playing boys is not as easy as some like to make it out. I am hoping that from here out the girls put up a little better showing

I guess TX Sprit Clark being #1 was a bunch of smoke and mirrors??

No reason for LFS to play boys this tournament. Playing boys is a last resort when girls do not challenge as in RASE in any league that did not consolidate all top girls or DTS playing in Arlington.

Only reason in Shanwee is to avoid losing to girls teams to keep parents from running away before July.

Of course one could ask if Dalglish and RASE will play any girls before QT for similar reasons.

LOL...knew it wouldn't take long. Today was an eye opener for the girls and what it takes to stay at the top. They got comfortable, plain and simple. They'll be ready to play tomorrow.

How did the girls know they were on top? Is this something you TX Spirit parents discuss with your dd's the FBR standings?   

Just more clarity for me that 04 QT will play out in any direction.

SRFC a better team than you think. Still any team can have an off game. Tomorrow should be interesting.

Sting played well... Girls still need time to mesh but I believe they have something.

Don't think it will clarify itself in QT as they won't see each other but it should during league play

Ok, I'll bite...  As much as you want to believe Dalglish and RASE maybe running from playing girls before QT is laughable.  You're the one Man rant always stating why is RASE de-facto #1.

Some of your comments..

1. Point is , how long does RASE get a pass for NOT playing any top 04 girls? I mean if they never played again would they be defacto # 1 after 2 years? 3?

2. A team that has not played any other teams in over a year is de facto #1 but a team that has played all of the top teams last 6 months without losing is #3?  At what point does undisputed no longer apply?

3. How long can RASE be considered the "Defacto #1" team if they go a full year from playing other top 04 teams?  That is a lifetime in academy.

4. When was the last time RASE played Texas Spirit? I'm not sure but I can tell you it is basically a different team now. 6 months is a long time for academy and 1.5 years, well you get the point.

TX Spirit '04 Clark recent results are not earth shattering..

What will quench your thirst? RASE losing or RASE beating your favorite team 6-0, 7-0, 8-0?? I can see the love hate relationship here or is it fascination??

The top teams play boys for a different challenge. The boys are more physical and usually quicker to the ball. I would imagine this could be a bit more of a learning experience than playing the same teams over and over again. And given these three teams records it seems that they really don't have much to prove. But don't worry, I'm sure they'll be more than ready to face the rest of the teams in D1 after qualifying.

You completely misunderstand on nearly every point.

I have little to no doubt RASE is best team.

On RASE being undisputed, the point is eventually without playing other top girls teams for year or years, it will become disputed. For instance, let's pretend DTS sweeps Shawnee, which I doubt they will, would it be unreasonable to question the number one team if DTS has not played RASE in 2 years? If DTS also has not lost to girls in a year, been scored on 6 months? Now do I think RASE is better, yes. That's not the point.

On RASE/Dalglish/LFS avoiding teams, no team is immune to problems pre-qt. There are many rumors for players on every team so its not unwise for coaches to avoid upsets if possible.

I disagree with you. The only team that doesn't really have anything to prove is RASE, the other two have not been consistently dominant over the past several months and will have even more to prove if they end up losing key players.

I see 4 losses between the two of them since January.  I don't think either is pressing the panic button and both will cruise through qualifying. I think the only people complaining are those that want to play them to try and prove they can hang. Other than maybe three teams I don't see anyone that can.

minor correction here, it was actually a 7-1 loss.

and the second Sting Chacon tournament game was a 5-2 win versus the Ghost Riders '04 boys.

well at least they can beat the rec boys
