Solar Chelsea Gold 98 girls will start their open practices next Tuesday 6/3/14. The training schedule is as follows:

Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:30 - 9:00 pm

UPDATE: Practices the week 6/9 - 6/13 will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 - 9:00 pm at the Solar fields in McKinney.

Practice tonight has been canceled. This is the first time all year, other than because of ice storms, that we have had to cancel a practice.

Coach Mario's mother was taken to the hospital and he is there with her now.

Practice is still on for Thursday night and we have added a practice\scrimmage for Saturday for interested players to come and visit us. I will post the time for Saturday shortly.

Thank you to the players and parents who missed the post about the cancellation and showed up. Again, I am sorry it was just one of those things out of our control.

To the parents that asked: Yes we have some positions that will be coming open.

Practices next week will be held Tuesday (6/ and Wednesday(6/9) and Thursday(6/10) 7:30 - 9:00 pm at the Solar fields in McKinney.

Open practice this Saturday will be from 8:00 am - 9:30 am.

Some information about our team:

This past year, and going into the coming year, our focus is on getting the team in front of college coaches. The team was very successful this past year and it was noticed by the coaches.
IN addition, we work with the girls to start and maintain communication with coaches at the colleges they are interested in.

Last year we attended the following showcases:
Adidas Sam Shannon showcase in Tulsa
Arlington 9th annual showcase
Lonestar girls college showcase
Texas Lightning Showcase and Youth Cup 2014

After the Texas Lightning showcase this spring, the entire team was invited to a college camp by the head coach at Texas A&M commerce who was impressed with the team.

This coming year will include more showcases with a few competitive tournaments as we focus more on helping the players achieve their goal of playing in college.

Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday of this coming week 7:30 - 9:00. Any changes will be posted here as soon as possible.

One more piece of information about our team is that we will be trying out for Lake Highlands.

Due to some scheduling conflicts, we are changing our practice days this week to Wednesday and Thursday but at the same times of 7:30 - 9:00 pm at the Solar fields in McKinney.

If you are a goalie thinking about making a change you should check us out.

We will be having tryouts this Sunday 6/22 from 3:00 - 4:30 at Soccer Spectrum in Richardson (1251 Digital Dr, Richardson, TX 75081).

We will still be practicing tomorrow night 7:30 - 9:00 at the Solar complex in McKinney.

tryouts next week will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Sunday will be at Soccer Spectrum in Richardson (1251 Digital Dr, Richardson, TX 75081) 3:00-4:30.

We are still having practice tonight at Solar and Sunday 3:00-4:30 at Soccer Spectrum in Richardson.

Just found out and wanted to pass this along: Soccer spectrum will be showing World Cup games on the televisions inside during Sunday's practice session. Parents can eat and drink while the girls practice outside.

Practice at Soccer Spectrum is still on for today rain or not.

As of now, practice is still on for tonight. 7:30-9:00 at the mckinney solar complex. If this changes I will post here ASAP.

Practice has been moved to Walker elementary in McKinney.
