07 PT Results?

So what happened? Abbotts girls tied Kicks gold..Rumor has it LFS beat Kicks gold.

Any one care to share?

LFS won the final against Solar Abbott. They tied 2-2 in group play but LFS wore them down in the final.

I really liked the format of the tournament. 5 teams where every team played a round robin and then the teams with the 2 highest points played in the final. Only downside was by the time we got to the final both teams were exhausted. How do these little girls play in this heat?? Really great competition from all the teams.

Yep, and a Gap(04 terminology here) has opened up...in just a couple hours on Sunday it appears.  LFS is far and away on top of the 07s and Kicks are washed up/has beens.  

I'm still searching for the LP teams, maybe they imploded!  A fart in the wind they are.  I'll report back if I catch a whiff of them.

Joe I thought I saw LP 07 girls in Brazil preparing for a little tourney starting Thursday down there. I have it from a reliable source that those girls can can "execute every skill and technique" known to man afterall    

I wouldn't say that's necessarily true, the kicks are still a very strong team, LFS has developed nicely into a powerful crew as well, a dominant one yesterday.  We just need some more bodies on our team, 2 subs wasn't enough. Lol

The final was a very close game until the last 15 minutes. Solar and LFC played 5 games in 28 hours. The 5-6 subs LFS had gave them a good advantage across the weekend and they definitely have quality in depth. I'm sure LP Springate will be kicking some tail before long when they reappear.

Well I am not sure that the LP 07 Black team was in Brazil, but they certainly have not disappeared and they will be a team to be reckoned with next Fall and I am sure Kicks are more than fine  
 
Just looks like there are several good teams in the age group and that is great.  

Absolutely, the more the merrier. Maybe we can even get all of them in the same league in the Fall. Wishful thinking?   

I think CFBAL is the place to be if the teams out West can swing the location.

Allen to Farmer's branch is 22 miles... Frisco 21 miles...Same as Keller to FB. Make the drive for 8 year olds(well U8's)

I didn't create an account today to make excuses......    but I know the Kicks were playing with no subs, as a string of illnesses hit the team. I know they even played down a man during one game because one of their little ones just couldn't fight through her illness. I am going to keep this one in prospective, and let the chips fall where they may in say 4th and 5th grade.   

LFS star player Lil Suzie was not in attendance because of a dance recital and their stud defender was out with a tummy ache.. LOL really how many more excuses are going to come out the woods?? And to be clear LFS had 2 subs not 5. We fought through the heat and exhaustion just like every other team. Stop making excuses it was a great a tournament with good competition all around.
 
Kicks Gold beat us before this time they got beat. It happens they are 7 year olds. Truthfully all the teams looked pretty even in my eyes- pretty much any of those teams out there could have won the championship.
 
And shout out to LP- they have 2 great teams too they always make for a fun and competitive game.

I'm just confirming what I heard, if you have played them before you can draw you own conclusion based on what you saw. I dont mean to devalue your "win" this weekend. Lol. Just trolling.

Sounds like it was a really good tournament. Let's get together this fall and help each other raise our game - it's all for the better.  The LP teams have been playing parent-coached tournaments and small-sided tournaments the past two months under different names having some fun so we're still around.  We did qualify for Brazil but couldn't get all of our passports in time.  The girls are devastated.

Bigtex, it may be time to start organizing our second annual round robin friendly tournament at Castle Hills? All we need is a hot dog stand and a bouncy castle and it's a big time tournament.

Sorry to hear about the passport issues I am sure the girls are bummed. Sounds good on round robin again but not so sure on the bounce house as my dd might never take the pitch.

I have passed on my 1 cent an hour team manager gig and I think the new manager is smarter than I and does not visit the boards. But I will certainly pass the word to the new manager/Becca about reaching out to you on planning for that.

That's why I wanted to bring the bouncy castle..   

 

Gerrard & Owen are playing Guts & Glory next weekend, though a little short on numbers due to vacation.  The tournament only has us and 2 other teams in it so we could use another competitive team.
