FC Prosper - 99/00 girls

FC Prosper is starting a new team for 99/00 girls for players located near Prosper. We will be playing in the Plano Premier league and will practice in Prosper. Looking for approx 7 more girls to fill out squad. Great opportunity for girls in Prosper, Celina, Frisco, McKinney - cost is $1000 compared to most teams around $2500.

Are you primarily looking for 10th graders? I have a kid who is in search of a team, but she is not a 10th grader. You mention 99/00, but your post is only in the 99 section. I have a kid in the Frisco area and don't mind her playing up, but worry about her development. What are some of your goals with this new team?

My primary goal is to give girls either 9th or 10th grade the opportunity to play for a competitive select team that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I started a U-17 boys team 2 years ago under FC Prosper and the team has done exceedling well, ranked 15th in North Texas this year as a U-18 team playing with mostly soph & juniors. I love the game and I love kids (actually have 6 - 1 in college playing on full scholarship). I have my "D" license and I want a positive enviornment (no cussing, no degrading, etc) that the young adult can mature as a soccer player and as a person. We will play in showcase tournaments to get them in front of the college coaches. By the way, at the end of the year, if there is money left in the account I give it back to the parents. I gave $200 back to the boys parents last year and I am actually paying $340 to send the boys as a team to a soccer camp at UTD this year on the team. I have been blessed and it is my way to try to give back to young adults who might not play select because of money as alot of people can't come up with $2 to $3K a year.
