Lake Highlands Qualifying Empty Lake Highlands Qualifying

Does anyone know what the qualifying tournament will look like for teams that did not make it to Lake Highlands the prior year and are going to attempt to re-qualify? I have heard that it is 1 week sometimes and in other cases I have heard 2 weeks. Any insight would be helpful.

In most age groups, you can count on two weekends.
It all depends on the number of teams applying. Some age brackets will have over 20 teams...others might have 6.
Last year, U12 thru U14* went two weekends while U15 thru U17 went one.

So I'd plan on 2 weeks, but you can certainly be eliminated after the first weekend....in any age group.


*(Four U14 teams did earn a spot after week 1....Four others had to rtn for week 2)

Thank you for the information. It was very helpful. Is there a certain time in July when you know how many teams would want to compete in any giver age group?

Unfortunately, LHGCL does not post an Applied/Accepted team list. The deadline for QT is 7/11/14. It'll probably be a week after that when the schedule is released and we see for the first time who is going to QT.
