Hi All, thankfully I have a full roster. However the first of July always brings the topic of folded teams. This list grows as July presses on. Is there a date where it is no longer worth trying and in their best interest to let them go?

There are still some good teams looking but not as many free agents. I would see how many you have left and if you club supports a player pass throughout the season to fill a spot or two.

Going into the season with 12 players because a coach needs to make a dollar is reckless. How can a team be competitive with no subs to speak of in 100 degree weather. Glad we moved on to another team.

shutting down a 12 man team is bound to leave 6-7 kids without viable opportunity to land somewhere else

He should have let them go much sooner. There are plenty of teams that are looking for one or two players that they should be able to catch on somewhere. The club as a whole may have other teams they could be put on. Potentially playing short a whole season helps no one.

Tons of teams with 12 players that are holding on for one or two more players. Just ran into a parent today that's 04 team doesn't have enough players for 04 so they grabbed a few 03's and are playing up in the 03 PPL.

I believe the rule is that U11's can play U12 but U10's can't play U11 which would translate to 04's being able to play in an 03 league but no 05's playing in an 04 league.

Yes.  U10's may not play up with select/competitive teams.

U11's can play up.
