Division 3 - '04 Seeding & Predictions

OMG! the best team/coach will not necessarily have the best ranking lol you have to scout coaches and teams. taking nothing away from the academy coach BUT ANY PARENT COULD SHOW UP WITH THOSE ATHLETES AND WON THAT GAME HANDILY. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. plus if the best team has the best right back and you want you dd/bb/ to get some playing time in that position you will need to avoid that coach and team

Agree with the Cosmos upset.  They played our team real strong last weekend and even scored on the Mustangs.  They were quick on getting to the ball and had a couple mids with good speed. Good luck to them and the other teams going for those D3 spots.

Looks like SRFC already locked up B bracket...don't think it's possible for any team to advance over them in their bracket.

Cosmo's or Rockwall could tie them with 18 points assuming one team wins the next game 3-0 or better and SRFC gets shutout completely against Sting Harr.

Yes, but SRFC would have head-to-head tiebreaker over either of those two teams

I think Rockwall is the better story in that bracket. Great job. Srfc will win the bracket though.

The 17 that FC Dallas has may be enough, if they can tie or score they will be in.... Now, a couple LP teams have a good shot as well... Should be interesting!

Ok after a long and hard fought day for all of theses team...this is my revised predictions.  Like I said, anything can happen, for I have seen some unexpected results already today.....So good luck to everyone tomorrow.

Close, TX Spirit Red won the bracket with a tie 0-0 vs. FC Dallas White...  it wasn't "pretty" soccer.  Some might say the bus was parked, but TX Spirit was already ahead in points so they didn't HAVE to score, they just had to keep FC Dallas White FROM scoring and they accomplished that.  FC Dallas White still mathematically has a chance to get in based on the GF/GA tie with Cosmos Black.  Depends on whether there are any upsets between the over 19 or 20 point teams as to whether they slide in as one of the 2 points grabbers...  I think everyone would agree it would be fun to battle them again in Division 3 but we'll see how it all plays out with the remaining matches.  Good luck to all those that remain...

There are some meaningful games at 2:00 pm for those sitting with 18/19 points. Those last two wild card spots will be tight, not to mention a couple of bracket winners are still up for grabs.

I believe D3 looks a little something like this...  congrats to all the teams that made it!!!!   

Points winners were LP St. John in their bracket and DT White in their bracket so 19 was the magic number it looks like - someone may need to double check my numbers here but I think this is how it all laid out...

Bracket H:  Andromeda....POSSIBLE upset or FCD takes it......FCD Central keeper & thier Mid-field is good.  Not many goals will get in.  Beware forwards, she's not afraid to get a RED Card" Whoever loses will still make DIV 3
