So Pulp is using guest players from Aztecs????

Yes, she is, as are the other 13 rostered players. It's a very deep team with no room for guests, from any team.

Re: Top 3 05 Platnum CFBAL
From what I've seen in the past pulp has used guest players from Aztecs multiple times. Doesn't mean they are now. I believe they had two teams and not enough to actually field two teams, thus the reason for using Guest players. The poster called out Diaz for using Aztecs guest players and I believe to my knowledge Diaz has used them once in a tourney back in spring.TatonkaBurger wrote:thunderlipz wrote:You must be confusing Diaz with Pulp. If you go back to last spring, I think Diaz did finish 1st in CFBAL Platinum. Seemed to be a very strong division last Spring as well.tpitty wrote:Well, only cause the Aztecs are playing so the guest players will be limited.

Nice deflection. I've been around awhile, t, so I'm well aware of what it is. I'm also aware of what you were trying to do: "only cause the Aztecs are playing so the guest players will be limited." Stir away, if you must. It's all in good fun, right?
As for the league, predicting how they'll finish is too tough for me. This is the deepest, most competitive league we'll likely see, at least before the second year of select, and I'm really looking forward to seeing these teams play.

That is great! I wouldn't know. My kid was too busy getting 2nd place in the PYSA D division championship against the pink polkadots.
Sounds like with your significant team depth you may repeat. Best of luck!

I actually have seen him play. We were indoor at the Plano bazaar and he showcased his skills....it was with the kicks then tho. --does that predate you?
and his daughter is very good, and it is a nice team all around....trying to find the humor. That being said, as long you find it funny it is all good with me.

I can appreciate your humor. Don't get it twisted though, this ain't my DD's team. I'm just not stupid enough to base my opinion on a team I last saw play over a year ago and then post it on a public forum. Pretty idiotic if you ask me. I do however know some of the parents from this group and they sure are a classy group. Too bad they have to deal with the Pot Stirring from the lites of you. Hopefully your DD's team Draws them in the first game. That would be poetic!tpitty wrote:thunderlipz wrote:If you go back to last spring, I think Diaz did finish 1st in CFBAL Platinum. The 05's might have the most talent now, but in 2-3 year it will diminish, and only 3-4 teams will be on top and the rest will try and play catch up.

ECNL and D1 LH will continue to be solid. But, I think we will see better than average talent through the DII and DIII levels. While there may be some attrition as the girls catch up to each other physically, burn out, find boys, want to play other sports or just wanna be done, this age group will still have a pool of great talent to pull from.

Respectfully disagree on your assessment of the '05's Lakedad. Based on closely watching academy game results for the past 4 years, both within the age group and when playing up against older teams, the '05's, if anything, have a shallower depth of talent compared to most of the recent age groups.
What the '05's have is probably the most competitive balance across their top 5-10 teams heading in to U10 than any of the other recent age groups ('01's-'04's) had, but I'd say that there is a larger competitive dropoff once you get outside the top 10 in the '05's, than there has been in other recent age groups. Also, the top '05's as a whole tended to have weaker results when playing up at U9, compared to the other recent age groups ('01's-'04's).
Personally, I'd go with either the '01's or the '04's as the deepest recent talent pools. While the '02's, '03's, and '05's each have significant talent at the top of their age group, I just don't see the same level of overall competitive depth as with the '01's or '04's.

Re: Top 3 05 Platnum CFBAL
I will respectfully disagree with BW here. The 05's are the deepest in my opinion. I think the reason you see the drop off is because the top 7-8 teams have been playing each other for so long. There are very few results to calculate the 15-25 vs the top 10. There is no history there. I think the 04's come closest to the 05's. The worst by far was the 03's. 01's & 02's are very close in my opinion. I think qualifying next year will prove this to be true.bwgophers wrote:Lakedad wrote:Guess Who wrote:Lakedad wrote:I've said it before and will say it again.
