Plano Labor Day Champions

CONGRATULATIONS to the Following Teams in the '02 Bracket for making it through the very warm and windy weekend. Lots and lots of teams. I heard PYSA had about 880 teams all together - that's a lot!

GOLD = B3CAA Creeks Soccer 01/02
*How many 01's, if any were on the roster? Heard they played really well and beat Runner-up SRSA '03 -- who in my opinion will finish 1st in LHGCL D2

SILVER A = D'Feeters Wombough
*They have turned it on since July 1st. They had to squeak by LP Keegan in the last weekend to return to LHGCL, but did with a 1-0 win. Then Won every game in the Playoffs (Quarters, Semi's & Finals) after only winning one game in bracket play, including D3 opponent Mustangs. FC Dallas South Red played well as the Runner-up winning 4 games through the tournament including Andromeda West & 2 Oklahoma teams

SILVER B = LP Dalglish
*Won all their games, tied the other. Any guest players? Also heard that the Finals was a good game as Cosmos White from Oklahoma took them into Overtime. Congrats to Cosmos as well for a long weekend here dealing with all NTX teams including LP Dalglish, LP Owen, LP Scott and Kosmos = all PPL D1-D2 teams. Hopefully they were friendly, since I hear that OK teams can be mean & physical. So hopefully those teams were 'nice' and played good soccer.

01/02 simply means the year inwhich they were born. So a player born in 01 can still be in the 02 age group as long as she was born before the cut off. For instance my dd was born 12/01 but she plays 02 because her birthday falls after the 01 cut off date. The team from FL probably didnt have anyone playing down. They just label the team differently than in NTX. Our 02's are always labeled just 02...when in fact most of the 02 teams have 01's on them.

I know that there can be some 01's on an 02 team and even 8th graders on a primarily 7th grader team, but didn't really put two-and-two together. That makes complete sense TMCC. Thanks!

Congrats to all the teams included ours. Its was a long hot five games with the exception of those 8 am games the weather was fantastic that time of morning. A special shout out to our sister team Dfeet W for winning their group..good job ladies. We played OKC team this weekend and yes they are physical but doesn't seem like the same tean we played a few weeks ago in okc tournament. After this weekend I know I'm even more excited to get this league play going..Congrats to all the teams this weekend who came out and showed out...
