FCD Premier is still the team to beat.  Last week FCD showed that they could deploy a ball control style in the midfield to keep a more talented team in Solar Red under control.  Fever without a potent offense is not a challenge for FCD.

STING BROWN 4 DALLAS TEXANS WHITE 0

Cinderella story of Sting Brown continues for another week.  Sting Brown will not need guest players to get a win this week against a D3 team in Texans White.  May be Sting Brown can guest play a few U12 players to give its players some rest.  This game should be decided by halftime.  For Texans White the beating continues and the only place to hide in D1 was its bye last week.

FCD BLUE 0  STING 02 HIGGY 4

No surprise here either.  Sting Higgy should have a solid win this week to begin its climb to claim the #3 spot in D1 by the end of the season.  Sting Higgy midfield and forward play should look a lot better against a descending FCD Blue.  What has happened to FCD Blue with solid play on defense of 2013?

ANDROMEDA RED 0 SOLAR RED 4

This game should be close in the first 20 minutes with Andromeda defense tries to keep pace with Solar Red quick and nimble midfield and offense.  Thereafter it should be an "one sided" affair dominating by Solar Red.  Andromeda Red should put last week nightmare behind it quickly because Solar Red will be ready to play.  There is a potential for a blow out!

Congrats to Dallas Texans White.... 1-0 loss to Sting Brown is one heck of an accomplishment. Improvement from weekends of the past. Solid work. Great defense!

Anyone at this game it give some commentary?

Scoregazam this week we are on the same team. I think the blog has the Texans all wrong. The Texans girls jumped two levels in play going from Division 3 to Division 1 and there is a learning curve that goes with that jump. The Texans girls are going to continue to improve and are going to upset some teams in the future.

As a Sting Brown parent I think we were very very fortunate to get out of there with a win. Stark's girls play hard and are are adjusting to their new level of competition.

Texans White Players and Parents, my hat goes off to you all.

Glad to see that DT White showed well.

The DT White parents/girls knew this would be a challenging year - to say the least. The girls/parents/coach have a great attitude and the girls are improving every week. Hopefully they are starting to catch up to the speed/physicality of the games in D1 and I think we have taken a few steps in that direction. The harder part is maintaining that with better consistency week-to-week.

Not sure we end up stealing any games, but obviously we did not accept moving into this spot to improve our W/L or GD record

Hopefully we can continue to take developmental strides that will serve us well in the future and also hopefully make games this year more competitive (like last weekend).

Worse case scenario, DT White gets relegated to D2 but has a whole soccer season (18 games) playing against D1 teams and should handle their own in D2.

Look on the bright side...although they have to play FCD Premier and Higgy, they don't have to play SRSA 03 this year.

It was Tuesday night fights in Division 3 at Railroad park last night…sadly our group got beat by Andromeda 3-0. They seem to have our number even though our girls played and fought hard.

But on the field next to us during the Fever/Texans Red game there appeared to be a fight on the field and it even looked like there were some parents who lost it as well.

Can't tell exactly what happened but we definitely could see the Red Card come out…
From afar it looked pretty bad--it definitely looked crazy from the other side of the field!!

Fever and DTR did have a physical game. The bigger, faster team did not seem to appreciate that the smaller team did not back down. Unfortunately, once the girls intimidation tactics did not effect DTR, it seemed (a few bad apples) of the parents attempted to try and intimidate the girls. With all that said, both sides put their all into the game and both earned the outcome which was a tie.

Dallas texans red were given a gift, they were allowed into lake highlands without ever playing a game in qualifying. They dont have the ability to play against the majority of the teams without throwing cheap shots. They grab, kick, bite and punch. There was no intimidation, just straight up out played. Im sure some of the girls on dtr are good girls but several are not. The fever player was dragged to the ground with both hands around her waist, she has claw and bite marks on her hip. Yes there was frustration towards the ref for not controlling the game, but not towards any of the players. The smaller players are obviously frustrated with the lack of speed and ability, so they use whatever poor tactics they can. This is not the first problem a team has had with dtr. This is another example of lake highlands giving a spot to a team which is not deserving. Dallas texans red is an embarrassment to the Texans organization.

Wired--let's just say we had a much cleaner game vs. Andromeda last night then versus Texans Red….Night and day. Enjoyed having a clean opponent and a pretty good ref even though we lost.

StraightUp, I have not seen DT Red play this year yet so I have no comment on their playing style, physical style, etc. However, I wanted to add in that I wouldn't say they were given a gift. LH rules states the Club can award the Bye to another team within that club. As many have said about DT White going up to D1. I don't think they would think getting beat every weekend is a gift. Also, they have WON 2 Games, Lost 1 and Tied 2 Games --- so as of now, I would say somehow they are playing well against the other D3 teams, including tying the current #1 team FCD WTX Holder.
