Re: "Crickets"
As the season winds down, here are some of my thoughts:
D1- looks like going as expected. No surprises with top 3 teams. Sting Brown and Fever have hung in there with some decent results, so kudos to them.
D2-looks like the Dynasty/Solar game coming up will decide the top of D2. Should be a good game.
D3-FCD Holder has been impressive and the Defeeters are playing well. Looks like Andromeda is coming up right behind them and they always have a good spring. The Feet/Andro game coming up should be a good one.
Don't know as much about PPL but it appears that D1 has a lot of parity and most of the games are close, which usually indicates a competitive division. In D2, it looks like 4 teams are really leading the pack. I've always liked both Liverpool teams and both have some very good players. I don't know much about the other teams and don't think I have seen many of the div 3 or 4 texans play, so can't comment.
On a side note, I do like that PPL does promotion/relagation between the spring and fall seasons. It gives teams an opportunity to play better competition, if playing well or move down to work on things or play a more appropriate level of competition.

I absolutely agree. The first half of next spring could be tough to watch in LHGCL and not much fun for any of the top teams playing the bottom teams. It would be nice to see promotion/relagation over the winter break.

I agree that Sunday's game should be great, wish I could wake myself up at 7am and drive out to UTD, but I'll sleep in instead.

Re: "Crickets"
Sting Dunstan has been riddled with injuries with two midfielders out with an acl tear and an acl sprain and another mid who is bravely battling through a knee injury. We have also had a forward out with a foot fracture until she returned today.
The CPP player used was a former player on our team and thankfully we were able to use her with so many people out with injuries which applies to the true nature of this rule. This girl and her parents are great people and practically still family to all of us on the team.
Lastly, I want to compliment the SRSA parents and especially their coach who had nothing but nice things to say to our girls after the game. They are a very classy group over there and they have an amazing group of kids who deserve all of the accolades they have achieved over the years.

My daughter's coach never plays injured players. Those that are able to come watch from the sidelines. We just did without those players. I have no idea where you got the idea that he played injured players.

Sounds like CPP was used in the right way, in this situation and I think this was the original intent of CPP.
Used correctly? So the CPP player was playing up????? Not hardly. Did she play more time than the girls who are ON Dunstan? On another thread, when Dunstan played Dynasty, Dynasty played with only 2 subs while Dunstan used CPP with more subs and the CPP scored their only goal. That's fair. Somewhere.

Re: "Crickets"
The game where Dynasty had only 2 subs was 2 games ago, not the one against Dunstan. It is true that Dunstan had a CPP player against Dynasty and that she scored their one and only goal to tie it up. But you are talking 2 separate games.

Re: "Crickets"
I have an idea to clear this all up. If you are going to use CPP players, you are required to have 3 CPP KITS. The CPP kits will be all black with the numbers CPP1, CPP2 and CPP3. Kind of like Thing 1, Thing 2 and Thing 3. Now the icing on the cake, a BIG YELLOW STRIPE up the back signifying to everyone you are scared to play with the players on your roster whether due to injury or to stave off relegation or you couldn't beat a team DD vs DD without outside mercenaries.
