When did you Join Club?

What's a DD? I'm new to this.

Welcome....from another Keller dad. DD = Darling Daughter. However, many will agree that around the age of 14-15 you wake up one happy morning, to find that your DD has morphed....overnight...into a Demon Daughter. Only the very lucky are spared this pain, meanwhile, grandparents everywhere are laughing.

My oldest dd never played academy. She actually played fall of U11 in rec then went to a small club. At U12 went to a different coach/team and worked her way up depth chart and leagues over the past few years. I knew she could make the move before she did. I didn't push her, but once she was ready, I supported her. My other took different routes. #2 played 2 years in academy, then played up at U11. #3 played some academy with various teams. She plays for small club now. All are happy. All at an appropriate level for their ability and desire. Sometimes one coach is best. Sometimes it takes a different voice.

They all want different things from it. Focus on relationship w coach, playing time, and teammates. If she wants to visit a team w a friend, go watch...quietly and see if she fits their style and seriousness. I want my kids to be from about 3-8 on the roster. Perhaps not the best, but in the top half.

DD is "Designated Driver" or "Big Breasts" or "Darling Daughter" I think in this context, they mean Darling Daughter.
