3-3. Just my opinion, but as expected Solar dominated possession while Dynasty sat back. But Dynasty's ability to counter with tons for speed worked for them. Two totally different styles of play that proved to work for both teams. Congrats to both for a hard fought win

I only saw a few mins in the first half, but it looked like Solar did not have a full bench. So, I would assume they needed to use CPP to have some subs. But, I only saw a few mins of the first half. I suppose other players could have arrived after the start.

Solar had 5 subs.  That seems like plenty to me.

Edit: Not to mention it sounds like at least one solar player was CPPed to a different team. So being short due to injury doesn't sound legit.

I should mention that DSC CPPed a player up from the Arlington team due to injury and to give her a chance to develop. That is the way CPP is supposed to be used.

aTmAg, you have mentioned that about players on the bench several times in your many tirades against CPP. For the record, I agree with you that it's a horrible policy that should be thrown out. But on almost all teams, injured players are required to dress out and sit on the bench to support their teams. So stop assuming that a full bench means no injuries.

No, I wouldn't. I'm just saying you're making assumptions about x number of subs available because there are x number on the bench, and that's not sound logic. And you've said that about teams in the past, as well.

My assumption is that, since they have given a CPP player to another team, they did not need to recieve a CPP player from the D1 team. That they played with a D1 player because they were not confident enough in the players that they had. If one of those 5 girls was hurt, that does not change that fact.

Come on College Station. Surely you can come up with a more clever reply than that. Frankly, I don't disagree that the rule is a problem. It just gets old when every discussion about a closely matched game gets hijacked by this debate. I think you lose some credibility when it starts to sound like CPP is the standard refrain anytime someone doesn't like the outcome of a game.  

If CPP is what you want to discuss, then how about asking the Admin to setup a dedicated topic.

Despite my opposition to the current CPP rule, I thought it was a great game and that both teams played well. Solar didn't violate any rules and dynasty still played well despite Solar having an additional D1 player. The ref called a good game, the weather was great, the game was clean, the parents on both sides were classy. As far as I'm concerned, I'd love for every game to be like that one. Would be ideal player development for both sides.
