Premier SuperCopa Girls - U11

The most competitive 64 girls teams (U9-U12 age groups only) from across the nation are being invited into Dallas next June to participate in the 1st annual Premier SuperCopa G tournament June 12-14.

The creators of the popular Premier SuperCopa Boys tournament is expanding the event to include girls teams in 2015.  The 2014 boys tournament hosted 96 of the top boys teams representing 59 soccer clubs from 25 states and Mexico; including Hawaii, Florida, California, New York, Michigan, Indiana, Maryland, and several others.  Invitations to girls teams outside of the North Texas area are being sent by the selection committee now.  

The U90C Spring Kickoff tournament ( Feb 6-8 ) is the only qualifying tournament available for the SuperCopa Boys & Girls.  The Champion of this tournament in each age group will receive an invite to the SuperCopa.  Additional invitations to local teams will not be sent until after the qualifier.  To read more about this, click here

so basically you will have 2 NTX teams in the tournament? Whoever wins the U90 and another team that you won't invite until after the U90. hope everyone is in the u90 because it's super secret and you never know.

I guess I don't understand what is going on with this tournament. Are you trying to get a group of the best teams or is this just a marketing ploy?

If I am reading this correctly, there are 7 spots remaining for 32 teams that have already been invited. The math simply doesn't work. You have a spot saved for a tournament champion in which only 1 of the top notch NTX teams is playing. There have been invites sent to 12 California teams on the list and not one NTX team?

This is being played in Dallas yet it seems that there is little desire to have the best NTX teams in the tournament - all 6 of which could compete with any teams on the list.

Apologies if I am reading the list incorrectly, but there doesn't seem to be much support form the better NTX teams and it isn't very difficult to understand why.

6 is probably too many NTX teams. 2 seems light but works as long as it's the absolute best 2 teams. 4 is probably a better number. Either way you need to have the best of NTX competing and showing well. Otherwise the tournament could falter. Why travel from the west coast to play west coast teams. That being said if the NTX teams that get in suck in the tournament you get the same issue

Correct, I am not advocating 6 NTX teams to get in the tournament, but they could feasibly invite 6 teams from NTX, especially since they have invited 12 California teams.

It seems that NTX teams get the shaft due to the tournament being held in Dallas.

It's really not a hard process. If they truly want a tournament with the 16-24 best teams they should have sent an invite to those teams, no matter where they are located. Give them a deadline to accept and if they miss the deadline or decline the invite move to the next team on their list.

yes it's not hard and you don't need to withold the NTX teams so you can sell the u90. Invite the best of the best (12 california team could be high. They won't continue to travel to play each other). You do that before the U90. Then the U90 becomes the one place to compete for an opportunity to join the best of the best in a tournament. Even 2 tournaments could work and you would probably pull in teams from outside of NTX trying to win their way in.
Also make sure you don't lean to the west coast too much. Get teams from the east coast, florida, head up towards chicago etc. The supercopa is a half way trip for everyone to compete against the rest of the country.

Bottom line - NTX teams don't stay in local hotels.
You have to have the local teams, but in the end, it's more about $$ than about getting the absolute best 16 teams out there

but also the bottom line is CA teams don't stay in local hotels to play each other. Get the best teams and you build a reputation (surf cup etc) and then teams will come. So hotels and taxes etc is great for the city but the U90 people need reputation for their tournament and "come to texas in the summer so you can either walk over competition or play each other" is not a long term selling point for traveling teams. and once you get a reputation of not competitive it will be impossible to shake

I notice Solar Pulp 05 is added to Super Copa 04 girls list but I also see them on the 05 list.. Just for conversation sake, should they?  I know they earned the rights, but will they get the same results playing other teams from other regions?  Let's hear it..

That's a load of crap...pick one or the other. They should play in the 05/u10 division. I'm sure some SoCal teams would love to take a crack at 'em.

I would worry too much about it. I am sure they will play the 05's. Don't see them passing on the opportunity to take a shot at some of the top teams in their age group

so looking at the list with 4 pending looks 3 spot left open for the super copa. So who gets in and sorry I would say put in 2 more and find another out of town team. Maybe top team out of Oklahoma (definitely not number 3) or maybe Kansas

well deserved for DTS. I understand the argument for odyssey. The stink of losing to a group of kindergartners still permeates though. Maybe give it a week or so to dissipate. Maube the U90 should hold off until this weekend to see if somebody can step up and show themselve (or redeem). But DTS looked like a team that could make it out of bracket in the Super C

Odyssey got to the semi just like DTS.

Not just like DTS. DTS won their bracket (which Odyssey was in). Odyssey got in on a wildcard the needed tiebreakers to get there.
