The international competition isn't the only thing that has dropped off dramatically with this tournament...

College Coaches Attending DIGC

Just 30 coaches attending which isn't even half the number they expected:

"We expect to have more than 100 college coaches in attendance for 2015. In 2014, the Dallas International Girls Cup attracted over 80 college coaches from 67 different schools from across the nation."

No disrespect to any of those attending, but no big time D1 schools. Wonder if that's more directed towards the tourney folks or the perceived quality of NTX players? And do the coaches even have to reveal their attendance?

I don't think it is about the quality of NTX players. FC Dallas hosted a showcase earlier this month and had D1 schools in attendance.

While I agree the list is not as impressive as years back, I don't think they have to list their attendance. I've been contacted directly from a few D1 schools and was told they will come watch our games. They were in Vegas during National League and want to continue to follow us. They specifically asked me for our schedule.

The coaches list was paltry at this past Vegas Cup, but was told afterwards that there were at least two unlisted D1 coaches in attendance at our game, I assumed specifically to check out our higher rated opponents.

Check out the list for the Texas Lightning Showcase. Seems to be the place to go. Texas State, TCU and UTD coaches on that list.

Wow, I guess National League is the place to be to be seen. Just in case, I hope you weren't thinking that I was confusing Vegas Cup with National League, I was only using the reference to Vegas Cup to support your point that although a showcase tournament my not have a lengthy or impressive coaches list, there could still be some in attendance that aren't on the list.

looks like the list at the DIGC was got a little bigger. Great timing for DDs to get their invites out the day of the tournament.

if you want a specific coach to watch your dd email/call the college and give them your sched. Also ask which tournaments they will be attending, they don't have an unlimited budget so their focus will depend on what level of player they want. Also they are not recruiting 20 players a year so they will focus on players that may have an interest in their college These colleges listed must have had some success recruiting players at this tournament so they keep coming back.

Anyone know if the 01 and 00 finals were played (Feet vs Texans), or when they are scheduled to play?

It was reported by Gunners & InaB that both of those finals were rescheduled to be played as league games 1-2 weeks later. The winners of the league games would then be declared the DIGC champion. I can neither confirm or deny that that is accurate information, but I can absolutely confirm that that is what was stated.
