GRAPEVINE SOUTHLAKE SOCCER CLUB AND STOKE CITY PARTNERSHIP

March 12 2015 – Stoke City FC, of the English Premiership and a founder member of the English Football League, has partnered with GSSC in order to take the club to next level in its development program.

GSSC’s players will benefit from the partnership through the club hosting Stoke City North American Academy providing a yearly ID camp based in Grapevine Texas, currently scheduled for 17-20 June 2015. Academy staff will work with players and coaches to identify the best male and female players and invite them to the Stoke City National Camp where the very best will be invited to travel and train with the Stoke City Academy. This will also be open to non-GSSC players who may register and still attend. More details to follow

DoC Barry Mitchell stated, this is a fantastic partnership opportunity for GSSC and all players in the North Texas area further demonstrating the rapid growth that GSSC has accomplished over the past 5 years. This opens up a another route for players to display their talents and progression in front of professional coaching staff representing one of the oldest clubs in the Premier League whilst also allowing the coaches to increase their knowledge base and improve their teaching of the game.
