Real Talk wrote:Interesting. Instead of worrying about Diaz girls "gelling", (which is odd, because there has been no change to the Diaz starting lineup), I'd be more concerned about the 17 or so girls Pulp has on his roster. With a few that gets little to no playing time. I don't understand some DD's, they'd rather have their kid play on top teams, yet they don't receive playing time. It must be for the parent that needs assurance of self worth!?! It's unfortunate for the child, as playing time is crucial for development. I believe Pulp has South before Diaz, I would suggest directing your attention towards them first, instead looking to play the NUMBER 1 TEAM. Good Luck!!
What does DD's mean in this reference?
"I don't understand some DD's, they'd rather have their kid play on top teams"

The memory of her is just too painful. As this is Sci-Fi, there's this fascinating procedure where he can do just that: forget. Lakedad either has had this same procedure, or maybe I have, because I recall, off the top of my head, or at least I think I do, three times Diaz has beat Pulp: off the top of my head. Are any of them recent enough to matter? No, but two were in 2014.
And, as a footnote, who cares?
I prefer "Being John Malkovich." Imagine having a way to step into BW's mind...
Now, as you noted, Pulp/Diaz met 4 times in 2014. I will concede that in early 2014 as Pulp was deciding between having 1 or 2 - 05 teams, he put a team into a tourney that lost to Diaz in the finals. But that was a mix of girls from other teams that Chris was evaluating, not the core.
Once the final roster was decided, Diaz lost 1-0 in the King Tut, 1-0 in the Labor Day tourney and in PK's for the CFBAL Championship. All fantastic games to watch. And if you enjoy this matchup, don't miss this last one as they probably won't see each other again until LH this fall.
Lakedad, you obviously have an issue with Sting being ranked above Solar, even after BW explained why it was so. Be patient. If your daughter's team continues to win that could very well change soon. As everyone on this forum knows, my daughter plays for Diaz, and like BW, I would rank Pulp #1. Until Sting beats Solar, the top spot should be Pulp's.
And I agree: every time these two teams play, it's fantastic to watch. I'm looking forward to their next meeting.
Oh, and as for stepping into BW's mind, that's crazy scary to even think about.

Also, I agree with RT. Don't over look DTS, that's a big hurdle for Pulp. Especially seeing as they haven't played against each other in over 2 years!!! Should be a great game as well!!

BK: Don't assume to much - you should know Pulp parents aren't allowed on the forum :-).

Solar Pulp played very poorly but still won 3-1? Total luck.

Lakedad makes a great point. It is hard to put stock in those games against an unsettled roster. But give me 4/19 to make everything clear.

For some Dumb & Dumbers (and their DDs) it takes a season to realize that a lack of playing time is not good for their development. For others it takes 2 seasons. And for others it just never takes. But that dead horse has been beaten on here before. Pretty sad really.
thunderlipz wrote:The great thing about this 05 age group is they will settle this on the field. Pulp will get there chance to prove they are #1.
As long as the rain doesn't wreak havoc over the next couple of weeks, we have a lot of great soccer ahead of us.

Solar Pulp played very poorly but still won 3-1? Total luck. If Pulp plays poorly next weekend, they'll lose 3-1.

Lakedad makes a great point. It is hard to put stock in those games against an unsettled roster. The team that played as Solar Pulp this Fall is the old Solar Pulp Royal + 2-3 players. Unsettled? But give me 4/19 to make everything clear. [/quote] Is it ever clear?

Interesting, cluck. So what does that mean for FC Dallas Premier when they play Sting Diaz on 4/23? 10-0? Whatever it is, I am sure you will tell us that it was a lot closer than the score indicates.

I got .20 that says FCD Premeir doesn't score on Sting Black.soccerchicken wrote:TatonkaBurger wrote:soccerchicken wrote:Diaz-3 Pulp-1

Agreed, no chance FC Dallas Premier gets close to the 18 much less the goal. But that isn't until the 24th, let's stay focused... game at hand... Sting Scarfone

Real Talk wrote:Hmmm, Pulp 1 V South 1. And the score hardly tells the story, Pulp had no answer for the relentless pressure, and intensity South had throughout the game. They were fortunate to get out with a draw, practically begging for that game to end. NOW, I suggest, with Pulps "settled or unsettled roster", to give your full attention to Sting Black, because, Lakedad, your DD'S team is going to need it!!
Stop it. If you continue to say my DD plays with Pulp, they may start trying to charge me a monthly fee.

Not in any corner. Just 'real talk' my friend based on facts. You're DD's team will get the chance to settle the score soon enough if mother nature doesn't ruin it. Meanwhile, I'll be saving my cash for the lake...cause it's almost time to get on the water!
