DIII Pole time

OK people, here is the poll for this week. Pick em as you see fit.

Any word on Meja-Gunners game? Fever and FWFC won. Looked like Sting Central won. Mustangs and Sporting tied I believe.

Just realized, regardless of the last 3 games, FWFC will be promoted. Congrats.

Thanks OLJW! The girls have worked very hard and have been pretty consistent. It was kind of funny, we had to tell them it was OK to celebrate a little. They still have some things they would like to accomplish this season but securing promotion was #1 priority.

How wil FWFC promote now regardless of last 3 games. They could still finish 2nd.  How many teams will get promoted for this summer?

Fever needs 1 point from my calculations...or Sporting NOT winning out.

Actually depending on the outcome of the Gunners - Meja North game, Fever might have already clinched at least 2nd. If Gunners lost then Fever has clinched based on Sporting only being able to get to 34 points by winning out and Fever already has 34 if they lose out. It would then come down to tiebreaker of 1. H2H and its 1-1 then 2. total wins... Fever has 11 and Sporting would only have 10 if they won out. The issue is that i don't know the outcome of the gunners game due to the snails pace of entering results in D3.

If Gunners won then they can theoretically get to 36 points so Fever would need 3 points to clinch if gunners won. I havent worked out all the tie breakers if they end up tied at 36 points....

Geez, in this day and age would think finding out who won a soccer game would be easy. Haha!

Me either. Sportsnerd, perfect avatar, that's intended as a compliment. I rarely say this, but I'm impressed.

My sources informed me that meja won b gunners. Welcome to D2 fever!

Odd to see the league decided this early this year after them going down to the wire last year.

I may go back and look at preseason predictions later to see how wrong I was...and to see how close Packrabbit was when he channeled me in D2-lol!

Anyway, two worthy teams will promote this year. Injuries doomed a few, but those two battled for the top of the table all year-Congrats!

A. I don't trust any sources that show such poor judgement as to associate with the Evil Empire. Kidding, kidding , kidding..

B. Our manager politely informed me that when a Bye is in question and points are tied, then the only tiebreaker is H2H. So if tied in pts & H2H, a playoff is required. Unfortunately, not kidding. I looked it up, we need more points.

I do stand corrected. I failed to read far enough down about promotions and relegation...

Teams Tied in Division Champion Points in Division III:
(1) If there is a tie in Division Champion points that will affect which
team gets promoted into Division II or receives a Bye into Division III,
only head-to-head competition will be used to break the tie. If two
teams are tied in head-to-head competition, a playoff game will be
played between the two teams to determine who has earned the right to
be promoted into Division II or who has a Bye into Division III.

Ok. I put the cork back in your champagne...(okay, screwed the lid back on the strawberry hill). I am not going to check the tiebreaker rules...though I wouldn't bet that reading is one of your strong suits. Kidding.

Anyway, my compliment still stands. You guys have had a great season, and if sporting can pull off the miracle, they will have earned it.

Really do not think there will be much suspense if any. But, I do think Sporting could win the next three (as could Fever-but they only need a point).
