Good stuff. Let me know if you need any assistance getting info updated. I was talking with a Solar Red parent last night about the importance of our NTX teams perfoming well on a national level as we get into next year. Its already apparent that Texas doesnt get much respect at the National level by the points awarded for leagues and tournaments in other parts of the country. We have to start getting their attention and having 4 or 5 highly competitive teams will helo in that result.
Good luck to you guys both in Oregon and Baton Rouge.

Seems like a lot of confusion. Plus you have to throw in Regionals in the middle of June. How in the world are you guys keeping up with all of this and who in the world woudl you take to nationals?

I guess its no longer a rumor that you guys are taking guest players. We know one is the Flower and there is speculation that another is a SR player. If you were to win the event and get the free trip to Sweden, who would you take to Sweden? The guest players, the existing team members or the new roster after signing date?"

That is a very good question. Who would play in Sweden if they make it? If there is a SR guest playing, is that a message as to where she will be after signing?

As for Regionals/Nationals, those rosters are like State Cup, ie the possible kids going to either can only be from the players on the roster as of April 1st.
Thanks for the well wishes!

Re: 2010 Manchester United Premier Cup (old Nike Cup)
West Coast FC was practicing prior to us, so I got to watch some of them. Seemingly a very talented group, that I was all too happy to miss in bracket play (more on this in a bit).
The opening ceremony was interesting, but seemed to take much longer than it actually was. The Nike headquarters is pretty spectacular, and I think I barely saw any of it. Am looking forward to seeing a bit more, and also watching the kids play on what looked to be pristine fields.
The buzz in the room during (and after) the team draws was Group A. I'm glad to have avoided it, but we'll have our hands full as well. Looking forward to finally getting to see some soccer today, hopefully the weather obliges. Yesterday went from perfect in the morning/early afternoon to what seemed to be several inches of rain (and some small hail) late in the day.

Surely you're not suggesting they're nicer than Lindsey Lyons!

Group A is a beast, IMO definitely the toughest draw. Group C appears to be the softest. Texans' bracket is a solid one...the big game should be with Arsenal.

Very wet and cold today, but not too displeased with the resutls. Tomorrow should be better weather wise, let's hope the soccer follows suit.

Dominated the game, but nothing to show for it. Hate soccer sometimes....over and out.
