Wettest Season?

Had a talk with a buddy of mine and we were trying to think if we could remember a wetter season in the past few years? I remember one season where my DD had a couple of games moved due to weather but at this rate I'm not sure some of the leagues are going to have enough weekends to finish off their seasons. With the ground completely saturated, it doesn't take much for the field to become unplayable. I don't see anything being played for the next week or so if the weather keeps up like it does.

Am I wrong or don't contracts run out on June 1 essentially? It's been so long since I signed one I've forgotten.

Contracts do not run out June 1st but June 30th. Players can go practice with anyone in the month of June.

Thanks. I couldn't remember, I just knew I had June 1st practices stuck in my head for some reason.

2007 was the last one that I remember with significant rain throughout the spring.  Those were big rains once or twice a week.  Nothing like we've seen this year where rain is a good bet every day.  

Just imagine the chaos for coaches trying to figure out rosters for qualifying this year if this trend continues.

Why worry about QT.....we haven't even finished the spring season

I am a pool builder and this weather is good and bad. Even if a yard is dry and ready to dig. Most of the dump sites are flooded. We needed the rain but this is the most rain DFW has had since 1966.

Continuing with the theme of the original question, can anyone recall what is the latest that a LH season ended in recent memory? Would the league take it on into June until all games are played, or might they actually eliminate games that have no promotion/relegation implications? Taking it into June could certainly have an impact on those shopping for a new team unless advanced scouting has already been done on the down low.

I really thought we would get some games in tonight. Looks like we won't be playing for at least the next few days again.

Is it possible for LHGCL to rent some of the turf fields around here?
