Old Yeller wrote:It appears that Solar Red is the topic of conversation when it comes to rumors. There are a few disgruntled parents present and in the past who enjoys spreading these rumors to make themselves feel justified in leaving or to justify why they left. Let’s set the record straight. Solar Red is not breaking up nor are we losing 3-4 core players. What is true is that we are representing Solar Club in ENCL and we are also in Premiere League. We will give any player who is not happy with their current team the opportunity to come to our practice and see what we have to offer. This is no different than any other D1 team in Lake Highlands. Just like any other soccer team we will lose some players and gain some players. This is not news but for some reason for SR it is Headline News.

Headlines? Where? I have only seen one thread with SR even mentioned and it was a rumor that 3 or 4 might leave but that post was back on 5/11. No chatter since then.
Sounds to me like someone is trying to draw attention to their team! I guess since you opened the door....

Re: Solar Red 96G
Each team is preparing for the transition to showcasing their talents across the country. This is the beginning of when it really counts.
Texans- Big win at State Cup. This always helps. Their staff has been actively recruiting and is working hard to get as many quality players out to fill some spots. They might get 18 great players but will everyone be happy at the end of next year? Only time will tell. They will also be looking for some consistency throughout the long season.
Sting- I hear they are looking and that a couple of their current players are leaving and possibly going to Feet and Texans. I havent heard any names so this is pure speculation. They will be strong as usual but will look for consistency throughout the year instead of petering out in the spring. I am anxious to see how they do at Regionals.
Feet- Being Grand Champion says a lot but they stumbled at State Cup. Most consistency of the big 3 throughout the year. This is probably the first time I can remember that they are really putting the word out that they are looking for players and want people to come out. Not much turnover ever with this team. Could this be the year that things get stirred things up a bit to build for the future? Being home while Sting, Texans and Solar are at Regionals for a week might help.
Solar- The coaching change was huge for this team. Everything looking dismal for a while but this change gave them new life. They wont be in Premiere League but that might be a good thing since changing coaches along with bringing in new players will take some time to build. They are going to Regionals but might struggle a bit because of everything going on with their rebuild but I look for them to come out strong in the Fall.
FC Dallas- Strange team they are. They play dump and run and do it well. I think they will clean up the scraps that the other teams don’t take and will try to build on what they have. They played a couple of the top teams very well this year and took them out of their possessive style game. I don’t know if that type of play will take them far though as the other teams get better at controlling the game.
Solar Red- Location, location, location. This always hurts them a bit when trying to get new players. I have heard the rumor also. No matter what "Old Yeller" says, there is a small shake up going on over there. If they lose two, they will be ok but will struggle defensively. This will still be a good team but not a strong team. The particular two that I keep hearing are strong on defense. Will some of the other players bail out?
Revolution- They already have players out there looking for a new team. Could this team be next year's Texas Spirit?
Any comments?
Yes, I am a first time poster but long time reader.

June 1st is rapidly approaching and even though many of the top clubs are seeing new players right now that have gotten early releases, June 1st should open the flood gates for players that either couldn’t get a release signed or wants to go under the radar and take a look. Many teams will pick up players quickly to go to Houston that first weekend of June.

Rev96 is doing just fine--there are a few players that want more playing time that are looking, but other than that the team is not losing any starters.
