Some good results for North Texas, Sting Black takes down the 2014 Surf Cup Champs!
Anyone hear what the LP RASSE Elite 05 Score was?

Agree, and these morning games should be pretty fun too! Chance for an all NTX final...

It was a lot of fun to see great teams from around the country this weekend. Our games with Galaxy and Arsenal were positively electric, and teams from other regions of the country represented themselves and their states well.
As for the #1 question, you're right, TB, and kudos to Pulp. After a first half that favored Sting, Chris made a few adjustments that changed the momentum of the game. When Solar scored the game winner with about a minute to play, I could feel the collective "not again" on our sideline. But it's always fun to play teams that play great soccer. Congrats to Chris and the girls. We'll see you soon, I'm sure.

Re: SuperCopa-G U-10
I wouldn't say that is specifically true. The out-of-state teams were definitely more possession-oriented and seemed to be trying to play good soccer throughout their games from what I saw. Not that anybody wanted to lose of course, but the NTX teams and culture (coaches/parents) are certainly more results driven.ricnbontx wrote:Super Copa G U-10 Finall Four:

Let's throw these teams all back in the mix in four years and have them play each other when it matters (U14). My fear is that NTX development blueprint will again be found wanting.

Re: SuperCopa-G U-10
I don't know what your talking about. From what I saw from the Out of town teams, there was one team (LA Galaxy) that played Possesion style soccer. The rest played a lot of kickball. The top 2 u10 teams in NTX played a better more exciting Possesion style then even Galaxy did. This is the reason Galaxy lost to both NTX teams. To talk about u14 right now is silly at best. Who knows where all these teams players will be then, but I can say NTX top teams have less work to do than the SoCal teams do. I feel like we are head and shoulders above them in the 05 age group. I don't know why you feel as though NTX is more results oriented? I saw the faces of the Out of town parents and coaches when they lost. It seemed like results where as important to them as they were to NTX parents & Coaches included. I would say the SoCal and or out of town players seemed excited and having fun, but that's to be expected when you travel over a thousand miles to a place you've never been. For NTX players and coaches they were at home and seemed to enjoy the competition.WisdomTeeth wrote:I wouldn't say that is specifically true.
