Understand that DD has had first hand knowledge with all those team, but it has been about a year so my optics may be a little old and dirty.

Same here. Saw in tourneys. I think several are very strong and could do well in lh.

Re: LH D-3 Four open spots-who gets in?
Sparta – easy one; 19-0-2 in APL, 97 GF, 9 GA; after wins last weekend against FCD White and Mustangs, they look to be headed in the right direction
Sting Harr -strong team top-to-bottom will be hard to beat
NTFC – physical and skilled, and many weapons; tough, but not dirty; built for qualifying
After that - ???
LP Raisbeck - nice 1-2 punch and supporting cast
FCD Central – Goodman has done a good job, but can he continue to build (and replace) enough to make the jump?
AYSES – yep – best (un)kept secret; if they can solidify the roster with what they are looking at, they will be tough to beat. Lots of kids with LH experience.
Remainder
FCD White – loss of offensive component in a team that sometimes struggles to score against good competition, plus how many do they lose to FCD Premier? In PPL, remove their 10 goal game, and they were 6th out of the top 7 in GF. Ties won’t get you in. Losses to Mustangs and Sparta wont help.
Cosmos – this team can score – but give up way too many. Will be a long qualifying trip without better D
DT White – not enough left in the tank after falling out of DIII, and not enough weapons to defeat those above. Nice style and will compete next year
Mutiny – could be a surprise. Tough team with disappointing losses last weekend, but a win against Mustangs could be the boost they need

The board will need the kids names and what teams they went to...lol. It kind of makes you wonder if some cobbled together teams come out of nowhere and jump in.

ElClassico wrote:It's going to be a tough road ahead. You have to figure LH will only promote 1 D3 team next year given the "restack". Combine that with 7 teams possibly relegated from D1 to D2 which in turn will push a number of teams out of D2 and it equals a number of D3 teams only spending one year in LH.
Or they get used to the income stream and decide to add D-4. Which frankly would not shock me.

In 2016/2017, they will have to either increase fees or the number of teams (or both) to keep their revenues up.

Re: LH D-3 Four open spots-who gets in?
Outside of LHGCL....losing 1 top member could be devastating.
Here's my scorecard:
1. Sting Harr: A Shoe in (no discussion)
2. Sparta: Only got to see them in the last years QT.....
3. NTFC: Hard playing and all around great team...(ie...no true individual standout ...they paly as a team)
4.a FC Dallas White: Good team.....if they lost a player then that might affect them....unless they pick 1 up somewhere.
4.b. LP Raisbeck[/u] - Ties are not going to get you in...might as well be a loss. Go ALL out for the win and they will get in. BEST POTENTIAL TO GET IN!
Rest of the Top 10 PPL:
Dallas Comos: Good team...has potential but just not enough to get one of those 4 spots....they would be competing against LP Raisbeck for the spot
Mutiny: might squeak one by....but just a bit not enough...they need more shots on goal.
FCD Central: "10sDad" will disagree with with me Now this is a team that if they lost a good player...it will affect them big time. This was a team that was formed 2 months before QT.... so maybe it affected them?
Saints: a few stand outs and decent team...
FC Premier: Tie'ing won't get you anywhere
Fever: ok team...
debatable of course

Want an insider report card on Central? Here goes:
Played well and improved greatly from the obvious challenges that come from forming only a couple weeks before contracts, but we were inconsistent last year. Defense is sound, buildup into the attacking third is solid, but having trouble finishing.
Against the top 10 teams in PPL, only one game was decided by 2 goals (victory) all the others were ties or one-goal victories/defeats. Almost every game could have gone either way. Our goal differential against the rest of the top 10 finishers was 0. That said, I think who makes LH D3 is very much up in the air - all the top 10 teams have a legitimate shot. It will depend on luck and pickups/losses.
Regarding losing a player - we lost a sub due to an issue with their 40+ mile commute to practice, but none others that I know of, or have been suspiciously missing practice. Our White team lost a starter due to a job relocation out of state...perhaps that is what you are hearing...Our sub was a great girl/parents that we all liked personally, and she had lots of potential, but still needed some work to earn a starting spot. We wish her nothing but success with a new team closer to her home. On the pickup side, we have had a few LH players show up looking for more skill and tactical training than they are receiving from their current teams. A common thread for these players/parents is that they realize that raw speed and athleticism works for U-11, but eventually, you will need the skills and tactical IQ to continue on at a top level beyond age 13/14 - and they don't feel like they are receiving that from their current coach due to the pressure to "win today" and stay in LH. Of course, you never know what is going to happen until July 1, but I like our chances right now. I feel much more confident about our team today than I did at this time last year...we only had 6 players at this time last year....I counted over 40 at practice the other night. Big difference.
Signing off again...maybe it won't be a year until my next post.

Where are you getting the APL numbers for Sparta? I see 6-0-1 with 19 GF and 2 GA. Not bad but you need to put it into perspective. 15 out of 19 goals were in 3 games against teams with a combined record of 3-12-5. I give them kudos for the win against Mustangs but I'd question how the 'Stangs approached that one. In general an APL team beating a LH D1 team would be the definition of a "one off game"
Sting Harr will probably make it. If you can't stop their forward from running past your defense you'll have a hard time beating them
Depending on LP movement I'd say Raisbeck is in.
And we'll have to see what this rumored AYSES "super team" is about.
Other than those it'll be about who can do best in a tournament not over a season. That's when a team like Carragher or FCD Central may suprise.

I still give them credit for an undefeated season.
And I still give them the edge over FCD White after the win this weekend.

Re: LH D-3 Four open spots-who gets in?
Apparently someone is getting paid to talk about them.
They have 3 teams:
AYSES Gold - 19th out of 20 (PPL1)
AYSES Black - 7th out of 10 (PPL2)
AYSES White - 9th out of 10 (PPL3)
I guess....maybe..... if they cherry pick certain players to form a "SUPER" team...but will they do that? It wont make the others left behind very happy...

I'm with you...I don't see how they even come close to getting into LHGCL even with a "Super" team. Maybe parents getting paid to get on here to talk in hopes of getting some quality players interested. Best of luck to them and their club...but I don't even a slim chance of them being one of the 4. But hey...what do I know

Yes, you did miss something -
https://www.txsoccer.net/t26201-ayses-04-girls-open-training
and apparently they have had a number of LHGCL D1, D2 and D3 players out.
What's more fun is watching Sting Springate and LP Redknap both claim to have the LHGCL BYE.
