Surf Cup - U12

Just over a 2 weeks until Surf Cup.  Good luck to LP-Elite and Dfeeters Black representing North Texas in what looks like a strong field.

Yeah, D' Feeters got in the same bracket as SoCal Blues...oops.

As much as I would like our team to play SoCal Blues, I'm cheering for D'Feet to pull off the upset.

Stranger things have happened.

I doubt we'll do as well as the Texans would, but I'll predict both teams will be able to hold their own. A Blues/Elite matchup somewhere is a very strong possibility.

Where's Soccapeeps with his predictions? He's usually on point with his picks.

I am a "guilty as charged" Liverpool hater...but I will be cheering for them when they go take on those SoCal teams because when they go to Surf, they cease to be Liverpool...and become NTX ambassadors.  Go kick some butt girls!!  Show 'em that NTX soccer rocks!

I believe D'Feet will fair well, if not pulling off the upset, at least second in bracket.

First of all, thank you to all the teams who are traveling to SoCal to play in Surf Cup. My daughter (socal blues) is really looking forward to playing against other teams, especially the number 1 team in the country. Good luck to all and safe travels!

So Elite didn't win their first game. Since I know nothing about the Cali teams, was this expected? I want our Texas girls to show well, so I'm hoping the tie was against one of the Cali powerhouses.

Girls need to put their shooting boots on this afternoon or we will be sightseeing tomorrow afternoon.

Elite tied their first match. The team they played was #8 in SoCal (Got Soccer) and #10 on SoCal youthsoccerrankings. So based on these numbers a tie was a bit of an upset for SoCal as Elite is #1 in both NATIONAL polls. Carlsbad on the other hand is #88 on one and #33 on the other, however Carlsbad is basically a home team in this tournament so I can imagine that helped out.

Elite has the #13 SoCal team and the #1 Colorado team left to play while D'Feeters has the #2 Georgia team and the #1 SoCal team left.

Tough Tournament, good luck to both groups!

My theory is if you're #1 in two polls you're probably #1 or pretty close to it.

Way I see it is most of the teams here can beat each other. I think you could easily win it db10. If you get to the championship and we don't we will be pulling for your girls.
