Good close tournament. a&b are very unfair as everyone pointed out and they are playing out that way. Looks like there will be two third place teams that would have been a lock in other brackets.

Why the interest KNK? No dog in the hunt...we all know your DD is in LHD1. Thinking of jumping ship to join a LHD3 team???

But here is my take on how things will shake out and what teams will move on to Round 2 and make LHGCL:

***19 is the Magical number for 100% advancement into Round 2!***

Round 1:
Bracket A:
1st - FC Dallas Central - There on a roll
2nd - Sting Harr - Should squeak by Dallas Cosmos today (1-0)(But could go either way)

Bracket B:
1st - FC Dallas White - Expected to win against Sparta FC
2nd - FC Premier - Should win against Velocity.

Bracket C:
1st - AFC - Expected to win over Kernow storm
2nd - AYSES - Advantage over Celtic

Bracket D:
1st - NTX FC - Expected to win against Texas Lighting
2nd - TX Lighting - Expected to lose today...but still be ok to advance (unless Andromeda wins 2-0 or 4-1)

Round 2 Winners of the 4 spots available:
Bracket X:
1st - FC Dallas Central
2nd - FC Premier

Bracket Y:
1st - FC Dallas White
2nd - Sting Harr (Cosmos if they make it instead of Sting)

Another thing....notice how all of the 4 spots are in the Bracket A & Bracket B?

Debatable statement:  Whoever falls in 3rd place in Bracket A & B, are the ones getting the shaft......

Not likely to find much debate here on your statement.

I'll give you some debate. There are only four teams going into lake highlands. While a team or two might "get the shaft" and not make it to next weekend, getting third in one of these brackets means they would probably not make it into lake highlands anyway.

It's called a joke and this is 12 yr old soccer. No? There are ppl and apl kids that are just as good or better than kids in lh right now. Unless I am looking at it wrong, I don't think the B bracket is updated completely. Sparta should be in not Premier based on GF. Correct?

Soccerjack, you had by far the best prediction from the peanut gallery. You nailed bracket A & B. Sparta and Sting Harr were the dahh LH picks going into the tournament, and they couldn't get through the first weekend. Very nice call.

Tough QT for Sparta. One more GF in last two games or one more GA in first two games would've got them into 2nd weekend. They only needed one more goal last year to get into D3 also. Tough to be left out on a tiebreaker. Some talented girls on that team.

I believe Sting and Sparta got the short end of the LH Seeding stick.  Guessing that AYSES and Adromeda reps had some loud voices on the LH Committee.

You can always have lots of "what ifs" on events decided by points.  Sting Harr and Andromeda West are thinking the same thing this morning. It is not easy.

Not sure where you got your seeding from, but I think you are WAY off.  If I presume LH ranked teams 1-16 with a serpentine seeding, it would look more like this.   (My notes on league is the results from the 2014-2015 season based upon teams in LH qualifying – so Harr is #1 PPL team, NTFC #2, FCD White #3 – based on PPL standings).  If this is the case, all the teams line up within a spot or 2 of their league finish – brackets are A, then D followed by B and C.
