Labor Day Tournament Options! (revised poll)

Ok I revised the poll-----for some reason the other one is not letting people vote. Probably my error. But this time I included out of town as an option as well

Looking at tournament options for Labor Day weekend it appears only 11V11 options exist. Cast your vote for what you would like to see happen and feel free to leave comments and suggestions as well.

Anyone else think Plano Labor Day tournament sucked last year? Worst fields, refs, and scheduling so far.

I have been told PLD will NOT be switching to 9v9

Plano has always and will always just do as they want... unless NTSSA changes things... which of course is a different thread...

Per Coach, Sting Black is only playing 9v9 or smaller in leagues and tourney.

Has anyone thought about supporting the ones making these decisions and waited until the ones in charge let the due process work its way out?

I am cool with 9V9 and age true. Just lets all let the girls play and have a good time and quit trying to make everything difficult. Its 9-10 year old girls soccer and let them have fun with there teams!

It seems like no one will relax in this society and let due process work its coarse.

Will it really kill you to have a 11V11 game play with refs. Do you really think its safer to have these girls play 9V9 with no refs and parents that are not patient with due process?

I would love for someone to get a better understanding of 9V9 field availability? Last year my DD played on a field (Moss) in Dallas that was dirt and no grass, I will take a 11V11 field with grass over that any day!

How are the fields after all the flooding? Is there enough 9V9 fields?

I have heard from good authority that Plano is working on 9V9. Let them work on it and support there efforts! So lets chill!!

Your source is bunk. Plano has stated, not changing to 9v9 until next year.

The issue with playing them 11v11 for o e tournament depends on how you look at it. It's more expensive to regjster. Most 06 coaches have already shifted rosters for 9v9. League play will have started before labor day so it's 9v9, 1 weekend of 11v11, and then right back to 9v9.... all because Plano in all their infinite power won't change, just because....

I would argue you would see cleaner games with less pressure on the kids from overzealous parents when it's a no referee situation, friendly games.... oh and that don't count against their FBR.

Throw fbr and a tournament trophy into the mix and all he'll breaks lose... keep it friendly and well, it stays friendly.

We could pay some heavy-set guys to get in the way and miss calls if it makes people feel better.

I just received an email. PLD will offer 9v9 and 11v11 for the Labor Day tournament now.

bad news = you still have to deal with RH


Coaches, don't bring more than one team and don't make schedule requests and you will enjoy the tournament.

Just remember that its just 9 year old soccer!!! The final last year was fun and the parents all talked and had a relaxing trophy presentation. Lets have that again! We all need each other to help our girls get better. Its awesome to have good competition within DFW. We are blessed to have that!

I forgot its NTX we are talking about $$$ talks. They stood to lose an entire age division because of stupidity.

I am sure that it ads some rough field conditions in the mix. But, we do have 9V9. I hope my DD's team does not play on fields like Moss last year. It looked like goats ate the grass last year! Haha

06s should have seniority on the "better" 9v9 fields. Give the less desirable 9v9 fields to the 07s.

(07s if you are reading this you are on the wrong age board lol and I am kidding....well maybe I am kidding)
