Re: World champs view on coaching
"If you're a yeller and screamer, you're probably not going to be a good fit for most teams but especially NOT for a girl's team" (That would seem to rule out many of the clubs current 'coaches')
" I want my kids to think for themselves, I've had enough coaches trying to have little puppets out there and dictate every move" ( Nailed that)
"I put a big emphasis on my girls just enjoying the game. It makes me happy when they have a smile on their face and they're not afraid to make a mistake"
There are too many girl's 'coaches' in this area who forget that this game is supposed to be fun. That you PLAY sports, you don't work them.

And WAY too many parents who somehow think they are part of the game.

These parents generally mirror the deplorable behavior of the coaches. If the coaches behaved themselves better, showed a better example to the parents, then maybe this huge problem wouldn't be quite so huge.
