96- Well, its June 1st.

I wonder what this week might bring. Will there be some new faces appearing at some of the clubs? Will Regionals keep some players that want to look locked down for now?

Could you guys please post your practice schedules ? The regional question is interesting. If your current coach gets word that you're looking around would he bench your dd? Surely not, he has her interests in mind right?

Since players can sign with a new team after our State Cup in STX, I would imagine our roster for Fall 2010 will be almost complete tonight at the 1st day of tryouts. There is talk of another goalie and defender being added to the team.

I don't think my girl's team (LS 96 Red) will be too affected by the Regionals thing unless someone gets dropped and doesn't want to play at Regionals because of it. Since we don't have the competition like you guys in NTX, we usually don't have to worry about getting cherry picked by other teams. Of course, with such a short evaluation period down here, player selection mistakes can be made.

Interesting point you make. I have heard some coaches have told their parents not to look anywhere before regionals and if they do, they can just stay here. That is all rumor of course. Now the parents might have called another coach directly but dont want to come to a practice before regionals because of the problems it could stir up before such a big tournament.

The other side of that is from the coaches perspective on teams that arent going to regionals. Does a coach hold a couple of spots basically until June 24th in hopes that players from one of these teams come out? That is really pushing to envelope. They then run the risk of no one showing up and by that time in June, there wont be many other players out looking at all.

Personally, I think it would be worth the gamble and keep a couple of spots open until after regionals. I think players will be looking but didnt want to miss out on the whole Regional tournaments experience.

You might want to do some checking Zygor. I heard 3 of your girls were driving up today for D'Feeter practice!!!!!!

Zoiks! I guess we will have to play against them next weekend at the Texas Shootout then. That would be a long way to cherry pick.

Solar Dallas- Mon/Wed 6-8? I did hear they have a full roster already.
Solar Red- Arlington-Mon/Wed 6-8? looking for 1 or 2.
D'Feeters- Farmers Branch-Tues/Thurs 6-8 looking for 2-4
Sting- Richardson-Mon/Wed 6-7:30 ????
Texans-Farmers Branch-Mon/Wed 7:30-9 Roster is down a few. It would be a guess at 3-4.

Just curious on the Solar front, at State Cup they had 3 spots open and rumour was that a couple more would be moving on. TW is leaving the team after Regionals and with a new coach coming in I would think that he would have a couple spots still open. So due tell who are these players are that already filled the open spots..

2 from Texans and 1 from Texans Red West.

Sting Royal practices Monday's & Wednesday's from 6:00 - 7:30 at Sting.
We are looking for a keeper.

So....where were they?

There was a '96 girl from a Solar team at Lonestar tryouts this week. I don't know which team she was from though. Of course, this info is from players on another '96 Lonestar team, so you can take it for what it's worth. They also said a girl who moved from California was trying out and I didn't see her practicing with our girls either.

I hearing there might be some big surprises this week at some team's practices. Like within the top 3 teams! Texans Feet and Sting.

Texans White North folded this week, Texans will supposedly form a south team to use the D3 bye.

I heard they are giving the bye to a Texans team which played in the API. according to the API standings that would be the DT WTX 96 team.

So regionals is over. Where is all the movement, or at the very least the rumors of all the movement?

Please explain from what I understand Texans and Sting are both seeing a lot of roster movement between each other. I don't see a clear cut winner yet

Sting- Wow! Can you say show me the money?
Texans- Ugg! Showed the money but not the love.
Feet- Yikes! Trying to keep up but doesnt have money to throw out.
Solar- Oh boy! Over what, I have know idea. Didnt change much.
Solar Red- Hmmmm.. Out of sight, out of mind. Not really sure.
Revolution- Blah. Stick a fork in them. Lost it all.
FC Dallas- Hiccup We will have to wait and see.
