Preliminary schedules will post tonight. Conflicts will be addressed this weekend. The final schedule will post Monday, 08/31.

Nevermind about the other teams...I had heard that there were some more signing up. I guess not.

BTW-What is up with the brackets? Why would Fever, DT Red (FWFC) and DTN be in Silver while FCUSA (Sporting), NTFC, LP (Spence) be in Gold? I am not questioning the quality of the latter three-I think they are all good teams that should be top half of D2, but they all ended last year in a lower position than the first three.

That's a lot of teams... Where is club sting and the other d1 teams? Why 6 teams in one bracket?

DTFW (FWFC) requested gold from the beginning. Not sure why they did the seeding how they did, but in my opinion Fever got the real raw end of the deal as the didn't get into gold but also got put in the bracket with DTN. Fever should be the 1 seed in bracket 3.

Looks like changes have been made to the schedule and brackets

Yeah DTFW Red (FWFC) swapped places with the other DTFW team and Fever swapped with SC from Houston as far as I can tell

So far, Pack ' s predictions are a little off. Gold bracket 1, Sting Pat lost their first game. Silver bracket 2, Fever lost their first game. Solar Gold and Austin Texas both won their first games 3-1 in Gold bracket 3.

Gold division gold bracket winner is Dallas Texans Red with F C Dallas Premier in second. Gold bracket 2 winner is Solar Chelsea with Sting Ferretti in Second. Bracket 3 winner is Austin Texans with Solar Gold in second. Neither silver divisions have concluded all of their games as yet.

Fever lost all 3 games.  What's up with that.  That's not the Fever team we have seen play.  Too many new players, too many old players gone, new coaching philosophy, or maybe old coaching philosophy no longer working?   Anyone with the inside track?

I can speak only to what I saw, but IMO Fever lost by one goal three times to some good teams. They did add a lot of moving parts in the offseason, and the last thing to gel is the final third. They gave up 4 goals for the entire tournament against quality teams. They have dominated D2 teams, but part of the process is trying to figure out how to crack D1 defenses. It isn't easy. A ton of games in the tournament have been 1-0...not just Fever, but all around. I watched them play Solar Gold this morning, and they were fine. All three teams they lost to were in the quarters.

With you on that Dad...nothing wrong with Fever. Fever is still the same very good Fever. Just a tough draw and very competitive games.

One tournament does not a season make. The Plano tournament has a lot of good teams this year.

Yep. We (Fever) were a little surprised and disappointed with the results. I personally thought we were at least as good as the teams we played. Gave up an own goal against Mustangs and a goal against SG that even the center ref conceded the AR wasn't in position to make the call on a crossbar goal. But the bottom line is that we didn't score and take it out of the refs hands. Gotta learn from this great experience and move on.

Congrats to you guys...you outlasted the rest! You guys earned it. Y'all played some great soccer this weekend, and you won the 6 game battle royal! I was shocked when you were listed in Silver initially...DT Red is good folks, and now their offense puts a few away. I watched a bunch of matches that were closely played (and I only saw a bit of some of their games), but they were definitely one of the best I saw this weekend!

Rest up and I hope most of the injuries are minor...I know that with all the bruises and soreness, I didn't have the heart to tell my dd that the CX coach said she needed to go on a 6 mile run today...lol.

Thanks Dad for the kind words. It is still so early in the season and I am sure all the teams have plenty to work on as DT Red surely does. Always nice to win a tournament but really means little big picture other then development. Rest up!

Congrats to Fever-- I like the fact they finally got the opportunity to play competition closer to their level this weekend.  It was unfortunate how brutally hot it was this weekend, it would have be great to see how these teams competed in playable conditions. I'm not sure how much player development was available over 3 matches... 6 matches had to be almost unbearable.

Congrats to Mustangs for biting, clawing their way in beating some very good teams, to get to the finals! Are they serving notice to LH D1?

DT Red is the old FWFC. They were plenty good before, they're better now.

Sting Parker and Andromeda played Premier League games in Little Rock this past weekend.

It was certainly hot but I wouldn't say they were unplayable conditions. It was an endurance test playing 6 games in 3 days under any circumstances. I dont think the heat had a factor in any of the results though. Our coach did a good job of utilizing the bench to keep players fresh all the way through.
