Premier (good coach, good team)
Ferretti/DT draw (slip of the week)
Solar (easiest first 5)
SW/Mustang draw (not sure what's happening w Stangs)
Elite (they won't lose again)
Andro/Central draw (Andro goes mma)

Re: New Week New Challenges - place your votes
DTN and Ferretti will both come out guns blazing. Ferretti's biggest issue IMO is they can be inconsistent...The former D2 teams must have those games against each other so they can minimize the slate of teams previously in D1...
SWW and Bussey will be tough...for those wondering what is up with Bussey...it is simple. They have some injuries, and they have faced two teams that matched up against their issues well...if I am not mistaken, they lost both by a goal?? They are solid and play hard. No real issue, they just have to score one more than the team they face.
Andro/Parker...Brown/Elite...these are all potential top 5 teams...gonna be some real skin on the line. Elite and Brown need a win to keep pace, and Andro and Parker can create a little separation with wins.
IMO...those are 5 games where the fur will fly...not that it won't happen in the others as well.

Re: New Week New Challenges - place your votes
They used 3-5 during the Spring season last year and wasn't their game winning goal last weekend against Solar scored by CPP from the 00 ecnl team.

Re: New Week New Challenges - place your votes
My understanding of CPP is that the passed player must be from another LH roster, not an ECNL roster.
So are these players on Parkers roster all the time, but they play ECNL as well (dual rostered) or are they on some other Sting teams roster (not just ECNL)???

No these players are not dual rostered. To my knowledge they are only on the ecnl roster.

No these players are not dual rostered. To my knowledge they are only on the ecnl roster.
I believe CPP considers ecnl an "one above" player.
From what I can tell, the Sting ecnl player(s), who have CPP'd...
1-were on Sting's ecnl roster, but scratched from Sting's gameday rosters in its first 2 ECNL matches...
2-are not on any LH D1 rosters, so they aren't "dual rostered" players.
In the past, an ECNL-LH dual roster player was usually a good LH player, who practiced full time with her D1 team, who also had a ecnl roster spot, where she wasn't needed on a weekly basis. The dual designation indicated she had the opportunity to "move up" during the ecnl season when needed. Now these CPP ECNL player(s) probably train with their ecnl team during week, but don't yet have the opportunity to be one of the 18 to suit up on game day.
We would agree that it would stink to train all summer, each week, and consistently not be able to play in matches. Therefore, CPP ECNL player(s) must be getting their gameday playing time in LH. It makes sense from a Sting D1 team, player, ecnl coach, and club standpoint:
D1 Coach & Team:
D1 Coach has a good player resource in case of injuries... Or when playing a skilled opposing team . If she's not on a LH roster, and doesn't train with that group, it helps with team unity and the coach doesn't have to burn a roster spot for a part-time player. If she gets "called up" to an ECNL game day, the drama of a D1 team losing their best player mid season is avoided.. . Also, since the player(s) aren't "on the team", (ideally) there are no parent questions about paying team dues, 1st loyalty, etc... Lastly, since the player has multiple D1 options to participate., she doesn't have disrupt the same team starting lineup on a weekly basis ...
Player & Parents:
A young lady, who isn't "quite ready" for ecnl matches, has the opportunity to train, improve with the "more skilled" ECNL team, under the tutelage of her ecnl coach, but is still able to get extensive playing time on one of Sting's LH D1 teams. The parent get to see their Ecnl DD play every week.
Club:
The ultimate flex player... She doesn't burn a LH roster spot, but is available to help multiple LH sting teams that need an extra quality striker, mid or defender. It benefits the sting ecnl player, the game day sting team and the sting club.
Ecnl Coach:
If adequately explained prior to signing, the coach is able to maintain a reserve of very good players, that aren't demanding playing time. He is able to assist his fellow Sting LH D1 coaches, without antagonizing them when he needs to pull those players up. Lastly, he can answer requests for help in tough matches, er, uh-- extensive injuries, without needing to expose his top 18 to injury.
Of course, this is just my speculation, and I am probably totally wrong.

Re: New Week New Challenges - place your votes
On your 1 and 2 above, the players in question were both coming off injuries and have not competed in any ecnl environment in quite some time. As it was explained to a group of inquiring minds, one is coming off a back to back ACL and one off an ankle (thought we were told pretty severe as well). This coupled with the 6 injuries on the D1 roster created an opportunity for players to get some minutes in.
As to LH, I have been told on several occasions that ECNL to LH D1 would be considered more of lateral move instead of a player playing down. And considerations were taken by the league to injuries on both.
Although my DD is no longer on SCP, I can say that the club has always tried to manage LH D1-ECNL and ECNL to LH D1 as opportunities for players to get the appropriate game time based on the player's needs. This I can say with certainty was the case last year for the 2 games that CPP was used. In one game, both players were training only with ecnl and on those rosters, but we're not getting games. The other was agin one of the players not getting time, and one coming off a major knee injury and had not played in a competitive game in just under a year.
All that said, I never viewed our time with the team to be a bad experience by any means. We had a great time and my DD benefited greatly. SCP is a very good team. They work hard and they play hard with a lot of grit. I think it unfair to take that away from them. They are a top 2-3 team in the league hands down.
I'll go back to my hole now. Just wanted to add to Pack's overall assessment above.

Your information is positive and makes total sense (just as anything else you have opined forth upon ). I just wanted to throw out my speculation for consumption, to see if I was on the right track. I tried to take a little extra care writing it, so it wouldn't come across as sarcastic or accusatory.
Whatever my opinions about Club Sting's use of CPP, there is no doubt that SCP is a very good team, with a great story. My past, loud suspicions have caused me a great deal of consternation-- I've been accused of being a sour grapes parent from Sting (Parker, flannigan, Garret AND Brown) Andromeda, SG, Solar Elite and fairly recently Sting Pat (!) ... I guess it's just too outside the realm to believe one can make specific observations, without a specific cause, so I'm not looking for anymore CPP battles this year. Based on your thoughtful comments above, it appears to be a positive situation for those players/teams involved, so that is very good.
But I do have one question, just to clarify that I read above correctly--Are you saying SCP had 6 players injured for one or both of their 1st two LH matches? If so, I wish those players Godspeed in getting healthy.
