I'm curious what she said to the undercover officer?? I'm sure she learned a lesson.

The referree said that the off-duty cop had been the one "pestering him the whole game"
This is an embarrassment for that department

I've coached against her a few times. If she belongs in jail, there's some I can think of should be in Alacatraz.

There are holes in both stories.  What lead up to her being asked to leave?  Also, if I'm reading both stories properly, the off duty policeman only stepped in after she wouldn't leave. I'm sure the behavior was not appropriate on either side, but what do I know?  Is that correct?  Have y'all seen Alvarado PD's post on this incident?  I don't know what to think because I wasn't there, but I do know how intense things can get and it shouldn't be done around kids - ever.

Yes, I understand that. Apparently there was already a scene and he asked her to step outside to deescalate the situation. She refused. But like I said, I wasn't there. Just trying to be open minded here and listen to both sides.  They are both telling totally different stories. I do not agree with her being arrested, but if she was acting and speaking inappropriately at a youth sporting event, she should have been removed from the area.

And trust me - there are plenty of times that I would've love to let someone have it - but I didn't. No one is perfect, just have to learn lessons the hard way sometimes I guess.

How incredibly ridiculous.  The officer appears to be a true bully and based on the video and the story, probably deserved whatever name he was called.  The department needs to take a serious look at this because officers should not abuse their power like this.

He was out of his jurisdiction. Not sure how Burleson took this serious when ref said nothing meriting jail happened. SMH!

Good ole boys take care of each other in small communities. Maybe this was the case? I can't imagine an arrest like this ever making it through the Dallas PD. but...that's just my opinion.

Hummm....the Alvarado PD facebook page had a post earlier today attacking channel 11, but the page has been shut down now???

The Alvarado PD post was slanderous and appeared to be penned by the Captain.

To clarify, she was jailed for 'evading arrest'. Alvarado claims that she 'evaded arrest' when she refused to step aside to talk to the plain-clothes Officer from another city, even though she cooperated with the police from Burleson.

Sounds like the Alvarado City Manager and City Council need to clean house. It won't stop this lawsuit, but it may prevent the next keystone cops episode.

The CBS side of this story is completely off base......talk about media spinning a story.....

I have no idea what went down, but I have both coached and reffed in Burleson for many years. I know of both her and her husband and can say that their demeanor is definitely not far off from what is being reported.

Heck, their competitiveness, even in rec soccer, led them to build a soccer pitch in their backyard where the entire rec team would practice.

I just think that there really might be more to this story.
