D1 Projections
D1 Projections
Team - PTS (W-D-L)
1. Sting Parker - 39 (13-0-0)
2. Andromeda - 34 (11-1-1)
3. Solar Chelsea - 30 (9-3-1)
4. Sting Brown - 29 (9-2-2)
5. Solar Elite - 25 (7-4-2)
6. FCD Premier - 22 (6-4-3)
7. Sting Ferretti - 16 (5-1-7)
8. Solar Gold - 16 (5-1-7)
9. Sting West - 16 (5-1-7)
10. Sting North - 14 (4-2-7)
11. Aztecs FC - 8 (2-2-9)
12. DT North - 6 (1-3-9)
13. Sting Patulea - 4 (1-1-11)
14. Mustangs - 1 (0-1-12)
Looks fairly close to current standings, with some suffling around in the middle. I also believe DT Red FW & Fever Penn are top-2 (in that order) in D2 at seasons end.
From there....Sting Ferretti, Solar Gold, Sting West, Sting North, Aztecs, DT North, DT Red FW, and Fever Penn will have one heck of a tournament to see who gets to jump into D1 in 2016. Not ready to predict what transpires there, yet.

Generally agree...care to predict who beats and/or ties Sting Parker?
I think they are the best team, and finding another specific team I thought would beat them when playing out the season on paper was tough. The better way to do this is probably just know that every team has 13 games, and predict final records without specifically saying X will beat Y in this game...in which case I probably wouldn't have them something like 11-1-1. But I still think they win the league.

The next team they play, or the last team they play.
Both score goals, don't give up many goals and have coaches who have been around the block.
Not to mention. S**t Happens.

I believe Parker is top 4, may win the league sure. But no one goes 13-0-0
I say Pulp Andro Parker Brown.
I think.

Re: D1 Projections
Actually, I think Solar Gold has a good chance tonight... The 2 teams have scrimmaged and played matches several times over the past year. I'm not saying SG is necessarily the better team, but every team generally has one opponent that gives them match-up problems. SG just seems to have matched up, played well and gotten the better of Parker in the past year.backofthenet wrote:Brown

Ive heard both teams have some injuries, but I expect a tie. I wouldn't be surprised by a 1-0 victory either way. It will be interesting if Parker elects to bring help "down" from another D1 or ecnl team to help. This year, when SG needed, has brought it "up" from a lower division or younger team.
Good luck to both teams.

7 - I put it up that way so folks can make their predictions and determine the outcome (for fall anyway) and points! ... Tried to leave a little room for commentary. Take a try!Seven wrote:Interesting perspective Pack.

Parker has the pole position in this race, and it's their to loose... They typically play well and triumph against Brown and Andro. I'm sure they are glad they got Elite early in season, but it was an impressive win. This team knows how to win. I possibly see a draw or 2, but a loss is tougher to predict.
Outcome: 10 MP @ 28 Pts
2: ANDROMEDA FC: 18 Pts. MP: 6
Remaining: DTN, Solar Elite, Sting Pat, Solar Sc, Ferretti, Parker
Andromeda offense is improved this year. It's been beating the teams they're supposed too, but surprisingly, the defense has been giving up points, which will be tested with much better offenses on its schedule. The matches against the Big Two, a resurgent Garrett team and a confident Solar C that will test that defense.
Outcome: 12 MP @ 31 pts
3: SOLAR CHELSEA: 15 Pts. MP: 5
Remaining: west, Garrett, Solar E, mustangs, Andro, brown, sting pat
There's a lot of "they're 5-0-0, yeah but"'s about this team. They can only beat the teams they are scheduled to play. However, they can make a lot of believers in their next match with Garrett.
Outcome: We will learn more after the match with Garrett.
12 MP @ 25 Pts
4: SOLAR ELITE: 12 Pts. MP: 5
Remaining: ferretti, Andro, solar c, west, FCD, Brown.
They are a very technical, fast team that can finish... And has dominated the bottom of the division. Parker did an excellent job of containing Elite speedy front line, but not sure how many teams have Parkers' athletic back line.
Outcome: 11 MP @ 28 Pts.
5: STING NORTH: 12 Pts. MP: 6
Remaining: Aztecs, solar c, west, Parker, FCD.
After stumbling out of the gate, they have won their last four, including an impressive win against a very good Brown team. Last year a lot of folks questioned if this team was a D1 team... Well, a lot of teams are finding out how tough week in & out, D1 can be. I'm not sure about their ability to finish, but their defense is definitely D1.
Outcome: I have to see the Solar C match, for a decisive prediction. 11 MP @ 20 pts.
6: STING BROWN:12 Pts. MP: 6
Remaining: sting pat, Parker, DTN, Ferretti, Solar c, Solar e
This team has scored a lot of points, but their defense is suspect. They had an impressive win against a wounded SG, but can they score against the big boys? I think they have the offensive firepower to score on Parker, but can they keep the ball out of their net?
Outcome: 12 MP @ 22 Pts
7: FCD PREMIER: 10 Pts. MP: 6
Remaining: Sting west, Ferretti, Aztecs, solar E, Garrett
This team is getting more consistent as the season goes on, and scoring more. It'll be interesting to see where they end up
Outcome: 11 MP @ 20 Pts
8: SOLAR GOLD: 10 Pts. MP: 8
Remaining: Sting pat, Ferretti, DTN.
SG has encountered adversity- injuries, inconsistency, a huge red card, as well as some tough teams- this season. They beat Garrett, played a good Andro team tough, but lost its bearings against a great Parker team. The next 3 matches should get them back on track, and the ability to heal up and come back strong in the spring to control its destiny.
Outcome: 11 MP @ 19 Pts.
9: STING FERRETI: 9 Pts. MP: 6
Remaining: Solar E, FCD, SG, Brown, Andro, DTN
Not sure who this team is... The one that lost 4-0 to Solar C or beat Garrett 3-0? Their upcoming schedule is unforgiving, it will interesting how this team and its sideline handle adversity.
Outcome: 12 MP @ 12 Pts.

Re: D1 Projections
Someone posted a while back that the separation between old D1 and D2 was stark...as incumbent D1 teams begin to play each other, the numbers will be more indicative...I doubt very many teams came from D2 thinking they would beat the top 3 from last year.
IMO the fact that the bottom of D1 from last year didn't have to recruit to a "D2 team" helped them more than anything else...if they had switched places with bussey, he could have had quite a few more D1 girls leaving some of those teams for a different D1 team...same for SG and Aztecs.

Re: D1 Projections
And agree with your last paragraph. With the expanded division players who would've jumped, didn't. So it's kind of status quo u less you're the returning top 5-6 from last year. Garrett and maybe Hopkins were in a way saved by the bell; and it's benefitted them.

Hey Stack, sleestack wrote:Pack...I did basically the same thing, but played out the Spring as well, to get to the predicted standings/points in the OP. Having seen most of the teams play, I believe Parker will top the table when all is said and done. If they had played Elite later in the season, it might be a different outcome, but they took care of business at the time. I may have to re-think my Sting North games, however...they are playing really well right now.
I had figured that is what you had done, but you didn't show your homework, . I just filled in the blanks for this Fall,
A: so everyone play along with an educated guess
B: Spring is for all intents and purposes, a new season after "the break"... teams get injured, healthy, hot, cold, etc...
Just try in' to help out!
BOTN/7/D3: still waiting you and a few other to opine... Speaking of which, I hadn't heard from OLJW and company in a while... Btw, who's going to start this prediction for D2?
